A good purchase and liked very much by the youngster given to. Looked like a real steam engine and all the group enjoyed playing with it.

My two year old won a prize for filling up his marble jar (1 marble = good behaviour or achievement) and we typed trains into Amazon (his obsession) he saw this and chose it immedately. We looked at loads after it but every time this one popped up he got so excited. Every day he asked "Is my old puffer pete train coming?! - apparently it looks a bit like the puffer pete from chuggington?!) and on the day it came he was overjoyed! That was yesterday and it's barely left his hand. He's slept and napped with it. The way it looks chugging along the track is so different to his other wooden trains and it's over taken the wooden THOMAS & Annie & Clarabel which is some achievement!! Well made, brilliant old fashioned toys are the best.

This is for my Grandson along with other Brio tracks, bridges etc for his first train set. I can't wait to hear how he likes it! I am pleased with the quality of the little train.

This is most definitely not the cheapest wooden train you'll find, Tesco do some nice ones for a couple of quid if that's what you need! This however is well made, and the action of the wheels and piston makes it a bit different. I think some people moaned about this not being battery driven, no idea why they think it would be, look on Brio's site for the full spec. This is a premium toy wooden train, so makes a nice gift for a kid. Brios train magnets seem stronger than most, so a toddler doesn't get frustrated when they all come apart! You could get a whole cheap train set for this cost, but the finish on this will last longer and it will take those knocks from being thrown around. I think it's worth paying more, and them lasting.

This is a lovely train and my boy uses it with his other brio trains . The detail is great and it runs smooth on the track . I found this train to be a bargain for the price and the quality of the train

Decent price for very well made toy

My son absolutely loves this train our second order as the last one took six months of a playing before the moving arm broke from the wheel . But not a complete negative thing it’s been thrown, swimming in the sea , buried in sand and done a million miles on his track highly recommend

This little steam engine is excellent quality with moving pistons & fits on standard wooden train track. I bought it for my 2.5 yr old grandson & he loved it. He has Thomas & friends trains that connect & he put Brio Old Steam Engine at the front!
