I purchased this for my spouse. He built a custom bait cleaning table and bolted the Magma Mount to the bottom. We are very pleased with the adjustability and ease to put into the fishing rod holder. It works perfectly and looks great, very nice quality.

amazing but it took a long time

Installed easily, although it does not come with the fasteners. I live on the Chesapeake Bay, so stainless is the way to go. Picked up bolts and nuts at my local hardware store. Fits great in my rod holders, or into a 1-1/2” PVC pipe that I use on the beach. Folds up under the grill to fit right into my Magma bag.

Great solution for putting your Magma grill in a fishing rod holder. One draw back is the mount does have it's limitations depending on what way you install it to the grill. The ball lock definitely is more adjustable in one dimension than the other. I would recommend putting this in the rod holder and sorting out your desired orientation before mounting it to the grill since mojntiy it to the grill is a PIA and requires small fingers. Still, very sturdy, a little pricey but isn't everything that goes on a boat? Bought mine from Amazon warehouse for $10 less and works great.

This mount is a bit pricey but it’s worth it I’m using it with my magma boat grill and so far zero issues. Would recommend.

I purchased this mount in October 2025 and used it exactly twice. When tightening the bracket to secure the handle, the pivot point snapped under normal pressure. The holder no longer locks into position and is completely unsafe to use. The metal at that joint is clearly too thin and weak for the stress it’s designed to handle. This is a structural defect, not a wear issue. To make matters worse, I can already see superficial rust spots forming — and I rinse all my gear thoroughly after every trip. For the price and the “genuine marine-grade” branding, I expected hardware built to last. Two uses is unacceptable. Would not recommend.

Fit perfect. Used it on the trail mate Magma and the BBQ came with all the hardware required. Now I can still use the legs when on land and holder when on my boat

Fab quality. Fits perfectly and keeps the bbq level and secure. Expensive though but fits grill securely.
