Lovely strong colour
My first reason for buying this product was that it is a vegan product. My second was that I didn't want to use a permanent colour resulting in a root problem. My shoulder-length hair is grey with a bit of mousy brown so I wanted something that would give my hair a more youthful look. Being a bit of a rule breaker, I decided to apply this to clean, dry hair, which, for me, worked out well. That meant no mess and I didn't have to use the whole tube (which I've kept for touching up later on). The end colour result was a warm brown with a reddish tinge. It really suited me and took years off me. I had favourable comments too. I had no other previous colour on my hair so it was applied to completely natural hair. I love the colour and love the softness of my hair. I would recommend this and will be purchasing again.

Green hair
This stuff is awful. Put it on and my hair is several different shades of red, after 2 washes I now have brown roots, then a red stripe and green/brown lengths. The only thing I liked about this product was the toothpaste style tube it came in.

not for blonde hair
I have a balayage with my roots being lighter brown and blonde ends. I used this yesterday and it looks reddish at the top but the blonde bit which i was hoping to get medium or dark brown turned completely orange. The colour was really bad and i had to wash it 3 times after each other just to get rid of the orange. Unfortunately I would not recommend for blonde hair at all, but can see this looking nice on already brown hair to give it a shine

Good but with flaws
Giving 4 stars because in itself the product is great, good price and gives great color. HOWEVER, disappointed by the quantity (there is just one use worth in it) and also by the messiness of it. It will stain EVERYTHING, like a dye. Would buy again if it were more like a conditioner (less messy) and less like a dye.

Perfect
I love this product to cover up the greys I have. It always leaves my hair looking super healthy and a tiny bit goes a long way which is great for price. My hair is darkish auburn (At the roots though it’s less red and more brown) and it blends really well with my roots. The Coverage is so good with this product and it’s so easy and versatile to use. I sometimes put it on roots for about 20 mins or I’ll mix a tiny bit with my conditioner and it leaves my hair so shiny and rich in colour. I think it would also be a great product to even out any chemical dye jobs. I wanna point out that it’s deffo a chocolate brown. Not ash brown. If your hair has an ash undertone I wouldn’t recommend this but if your undertone is golden / red I think it’s a great product.

Covered purple hair! Nice chocolate shine!
Got me to the colour I was hoping for!I have very dry hair after trying to keep it a plum colour, it's just too much faff and damaging so I wanted to go to a deep brown with as little damage as possible. The pictured result is from just the first 20min application which I am very happy with. I used a tinting brush to apply for minimal mess. Hair is feeling softer and looks less dry. I will update in a few weeks, after my grey hairs have time to appear and see how it gets on against those.

Yellow
Please do not buy this product unless you want your hair to go bright yellow. I have dyed chestnut hair with blonder highlights, and I used this to 'tone down' said highlights. I ended up with bright yellow and it was not a good look. Of you want to add a lot of golden colour to your hair... Then good. If not, don't use this product.

Gives slight tone only.
... Hardly took in my hair, came out very washed out.. If you want a very light coat, itll work.. I find other, cheaper temporary dyes hold better, like superdrug own brands), and considering you have to leave it in for 20mins..i left mine in longer. It was used to temporarily coat my greys(i have very dark hair mostly, except my parting line), whilst i grow out,and it looks awful actually. So look forwards to it washing out.
