Absolutely fantastic!!
This is very effective and I highly recommend it to anyone! Having recently gone through a mouse infestation of our garage (they found my stash of bird food!!), we needed to quickly control the situation. I originally bought one of these devices and was so impressed that a second one was purchased a few days later. We caught around 20 mice in a week and all were killed effectively. I’ll be honest, I was concerned that they wouldn’t be dead when the trap was emptied, but all were so it was certainly effective. Sometimes it was catching mice within 10 minutes of being put down! We set up a camera so we could monitor on our phone and be able to see the light which indicated that a kill had been made. So that was a great feature and really useful. The size of the trap is good, not too big and intrusive, but large enough for a large mouse. All in all, very impressed and well worth the money. Mouse problem solved!!

Works a treat - very effective
I bought a previous model of an electronic killer and though it was effective, it was difficult to clean. This OWLTRA OW-1 is excellent. Most importantly it is effective. It has been triggered nine times, with eight mice humanely killed. Only one lucky mouse managed to avoid getting killed in the trap. You can see how effective the actual kill is by the fact each mouse has been killed without leaving a pee or poo mess. Instantaneous in every case. There has not been a single occasion that the bait has been touched without the device being triggered so I am 100% confident that other than 'the one that got away' there have been no instances where the mouse has entered without triggering the flashing green alert light and meeting it's end. The great thing about this trap is that the top is easily removed for cleaning. Even though I have not had to do it, I do it as a matter of routine to ensure the metal plates are going to be as conductive as possible. I suspect the failure of some users is to do this simple process. If the plates are not clean, they won't be as effective. Because the top comes off it is also much easier to place bait in the correct position. I used to hate cleaning the previous device and it was a bit of a pain to put peanut butter in the right place. This OWLTRA has addressed both problems. I'd highly recommend it.

Awesome!
This is very effective! It's the electric chair for rats! It can take a while where you place it for the rats to accept it as part of the scenery then they get intrigued and pop in to investigate As for what to bait it with is trial and error, peanut butter is meant to be good but had no luck, however using RatKill sachets brought me more luck! I would also suggest watching youtube videos for this product to get some tips too Edit: Bait Tip! After finding a food container of bombay mix that I transferred some from a big bag, I found the soft plastic lid that was sealed tight chewed away and every morsel gone! So thought mmmm....that may work in the Owltra...so last night sprinkled a trail from the entrance leading to the bait compartment on the floor of the Owltra with a couple of the dried nuts, lentils and peas at the bait end, and lo and behold first time using bombay mix overnight got a kill!

Bait taken. No rodent found inside.
The unit was baited with peanut butter and over a month later still had no result, no bait had been taken and no rodent was zapped. Tried a new bait, bite size shredded wheat biscuits, and within hours the lights were flashing. But there was nothing inside the unit and the bait had been taken! I want to return the item but the screen just shows a troubleshooting list and none of it is relevant and options are just yes or no to whether the list helped. After that is just a continue shopping button. Seems no way to return the faulty item.

Great product but needs the electric shick power reviewed .
Great product. Good for mice and ratlings. I thing the power shock or electrocuatuon charge should be stronger to kill big rats. So far 5 ratlings or baby rats killed by this one. But no bigger rat killer with the bigger one. Good battery life aswell.

Electric rat trap
This product was chosen after several unsuccessful trials with snap traps. I won’t use poison because my belief is that it’s cruel and contaminated the ecosystem. This Owltra trap is brilliant, I’m now on the third huge rat and waiting for the fourth. It’s easy to bait, dispose of the rats and simple to clean afterwards, I rinse it with near boiling water and no soap or disinfectant, chemical smells will drive rats away. A word of advice, I use non toxic bait cubes. Crumble them into pieces and place them at intervals through the floor of the trap. If you place bait only on the bait area at the end, the rats are suspicious and unwilling to enter. I’m ordering a second one today!

A possible 50/50 chance.
This rat trap device does its purpose but id say the power of the electrocution could be a little higher. I don't know if it was the batteries (Duracell's) I used but it stunned/injured the rat and I had to unfortunately "finish it off" and dispose it. If another one appears and it stays in the trap five stars will be given.

We put this in a couple places in the house and one day my wife decided to put it in the babys crib (no baby inside) where she found some droppings. In the middle of the night I was confused as there seemed to be a flashing light in the room. I finally came to my senses and realized it was the TRAP! Oh man, there was 3-4" of tail sticking out of it. I didn't have the heart to open the trap so I held on to the whole trap and launched the rat into the forest. 2024-August Update: we have caught like 6-7 rats in this and each time we set the trap it probably takes a few days to catch one. We put it on the car seat inside the car as a rat got in my wife's brand new subaru and was chewing the kids seat. BAM! Another dead rat. We have never even changed the batteries in this thing either. Such a good product. In fact I only changed the bait today after a year+ of use.

I have been using this trap in a chicken coop on my property for the last few days. It was very easy to set up and fine if it gets wet. I am catching mice every single day. Ican't remember the last time I set traps and caught them this consistently. Plus if the chickens got at the mice or anything else I don't have to worry that they are consuming bait. Will be buying more.

Leider keinen Jagderfolg! Mit herkömmlichen Fallen mehr Erfolg gehabt.
