AA Heavy-Duty 5060114616226 Strap-Style Tow Rope, 4 tonnes

Looked at loads of tow ropes and reviews. Hard to tell what you're getting for the money. Even though it looked a bit cheap, this was reviewed well so took the plunge. I wanted a tow rope in the car anyway but this was bought specifically to move a knackered 4x4. The clips on the rope work well. It is elasticated, so needs to stretch to full length and take the load before it will pull anything. We successfully doubled it over to shorten that distance due to the lack of space we had trying to manoeuvre the broken 4x4. It's already paid for itself and it will stay in the car for emergencies. No complaints.

Used this to tow my 1litre Vauxhall Corsa Comfort (2001) roughly 3miles and it was perfect. No damage to the rope whatsoever afterwards. Always make sure to keep the rope taught and follow the instructions as they are bang on. The rope can amazingly withstand quite a few “tugs/jolts” if the main driver/vehicle doing the towing is moving off a little too fast so don’t worry about the rope snapping - just don’t go crazy and move off really fast when there’s slack in the rope (or in general). Take your time and this rope should serve you well. Definitely recommending to all.

East to store under seat, simple to use, but probably limit this

It did not seemed strong enough to but i was suprised when i towed a 7 seater for miles and worked perfectly, the best part is when both get closer so the rope shortens as it has elastic type cover. 5⭐️

Useful and reasonably priced

Wanted a tow rope for my truck, just in case my wife's car needed a tow home, as breakdown services are not 100% reliable where we live. Its very robust, more than adequate for towing a car, and so much easier to use than a towing rope. It folds away neatly into a bag, and is ready to use, should you need it.

It's a good strong rope!

Haven't used yet but amazon is forcinge to review this one before I can do for other purchases. Had to get a replace t sent out for the first one as the metalwork, which BTW doesn't look very good quality, was putter and marred like it had been underwater.

Very good quality and great value. I used it to tow my son's car to the mechanic once for 3 miles and once for 5 miles. The design is great because it lets you keep the rope in a storage bag, which I store in my spare wheel well in the boot. The bag also contained a sign for the back window of the vehicle being towed.
