Fitted this to our VW Transporter T5 in 2018. It is connected to the leisure battery in the rear of the vehicle which is a 110AH.This is then connected to a 200w inverter which provides the 240V power to the rear of the van. It keeps the leisure battery topped up just fine and switches off the charging when the leisure battery is full or if the main starter battery voltage has dropped below the 12.65V threshold. A red light on the front of the unit illuminates when it is charging the second battery. Make sure you order a few water proof in line fuses with it to ensure nothing bad happens if the unit fails. This is a very light, efficient split charger which I have have fitted to my 1979 VW campervan. My consultant mechanic (VW Restorations of Halifax - I can't praise him enough!) admonished me for not having fitted in line fuses on both sides, and for not having secured the lines to the body of the van - he's done those things for me! So far the unit has worked very well keeping both car and leisure batteries in good order.

It worked but the neutral/ ground wire is thin and fragile. The unit stopped charging the leisure battery after 6 months. Buy cheap, buy twice.

Existing Durite split charger had failed. Easy to fit as direct replacement. Does the job and leisure battery now charging again. Arrived on first day of the expected delivery window. Vendor also supplies complete fitting kits if you need this to add split charging to a vehicle.

I bought this in June 2021 and it worked ok for 6 months however it did started draining power from the main battery and I could not start my landrover. Initially thought battery was old so bought new one but same problem. Once disconnected all worked ok again. Don't buy.
