Foodie Flavours Organic Peppermint Extract - 100ml

Having recently bought an ice cream maker, I am experimenting with different flavours of ice cream. I made some wonderful chocolate ice cream and decided to buy this Peppermint Extract to make some mint chocolate chip ice cream. It gives the perfect minty flavour to the chocolate and works very well. Some reviewers have complained that it is oily but, if you look at the ingredients before you buy it, you'll see that it only contains two ingredients: organic peppermint oil and organic sunflower oil - so, of course it is going to be oily! If it was pure peppermint oil, the taste would be far too strong, so the sunflower oil tones it down. As it is not something that you are going to consume neat, whether you're using it for baking or desserts, the texture really shouldn't matter. But for ice cream, which is obviously a creamy texture, the peppermint oil seems to work very well.

Lovely flavour, so my son says. I can’t stand even the smell of mint. I used it for mint choc chip no churn ice cream.

Very good quality. But why was it oily? I used it in a drink and it was sitting on top of the drink like a cloud.

Not a very strong flavour, sadly, I was expecting more concentrated flavour.

excellent concentration and bottle size you only need a various small amount so it goes far. Quality is excellent and gives a really nice mint flavour last very well in the bottle along as the lid is tight.

Excellent mint essence. Teaspoon and a half for delicious mint creams. Highly recommend. True peppermint taste.

Put a little drop in my cocoa .. mmm v nice

J'en mets 3 gouttes dans une grosse théière et on sent bien le goût, dommage qu'il n'y ait pas un compte gouttes fourni.
