Lonely Planet Vietnam (Travel Guide) Paperback – 12 Aug. 2016

Travelled with this all over Vietnam, lots of accurate info and great advice for planning the trip. I'd treat food recommendations with caution, since as soon as the place ends up in the book, it usually also ends up being too full! Also, we got food poisoning from one of them (although that seems to be quite a common thing in Vietnam, so not LP's fault!). Transport timetables were also for most part not needed, because it was easier (and in most cases - cheaper!) to arrange a pick up straight from the hotel by some private tour company, rather than going to the station or to a port yourself and queuing for a place. Highly recommended overall.

Excellent travel guide for my future trip to Vietnam. Plenty of advice of were to go and what to and all the cities in Vietnam it gives very good advice and lots of pictures and things you must do. Excellent book

I definitely love this book. I bought it before we travelled to Vietnam and it was my best friend during the whole trip. It has all the information you need and lots of tips.

Bought this as background reading for an up-coming guided trip to Vietnam and Angkor Wat, so detailed info about hotels and transport not relevant to me and so I can't judge it. Hence the four rather than five stars. The history section is very helpful, as is the practical section. Quality and presentation very good as always with LP guides. Useful to have the short section on Siem Reap/Angkor Wat which recognises the fact that many people just do that part of Cambodia while visiting one of the neighbouring countries.

Really helpful navigation guide as well as pointing out some very interesting sights. really worth the money!

Excellent suggestions a tips! We followed the restaurant and bar tips and we weren’t disappointed with any place!
