My son has a disability which affects his daily life skills such as opening a can. With this he can manage to use it and still gives him his independence in his daily living. We had electric can openers previously and when it broke it took me a while to get round to replacing we tried many different options but in the end decided this was the best option for my son to use. I would imagine this would also be helpful to many people with disabilities, kids, elderly I’m sure it would make a lot of peoples life a little easier a must have for any household.

I use it to open tins as l am disabled and can’t use a normal one

Simple reliable product to use

Well, it does the job...so long as you know where to place the can and the pressing lever needs to angle downwards slightly before the full press-down to cut.You have to look carefully underneath to ensure the can is up and level, with the blade on the inner rim, and the lever tapped down slightly to engage the blade should assure a proper cut. I usually get the positioning correct but my teenager finds it a little hit and miss.If the opener doesn't like the can, turning it upside down and opening that end seems to do the trick. There's lots of variants in cans..if the blade was bigger/deeper, it might help with the 'reach'.There is a cavity at the back to store the cable into, as well as a blade sharpener. I have yet to use this.Also a handy can opener is featured on the front.
