January, it was very icy, these things where amazing. you feel funny wearing them, you can feel something odd under your foot. Takes a little getting used to. Yes they are thick, durable and safe. They stretch right over a boot or thick shoe. Enabled me to get out of the house, I felt house bound with fear. Be careful walking in the shops, or on the bus, you must remove them, I think the spikes get damaged. Prepped for next winter ice.

What's the item is fit for purpose and is easy to fit on it's a bit rattly when fitted and walking it makes a lot of noise but is of good decent value for money

Absolutely love these, made life so much easier in the icy conditions, if you have bulky wellies may need to size up though as the don’t quite fit under my heel properly but this didn’t stop the grip in -10 icy snowy weather

Good product and good on snow and ice. However I’m a size 4 shoe so ordered the appropriate size to fit and although ok fit over trainers it’s a bit small on a boot.
