This is the first and only paint sprayer I have owned. I used it to repaint an old tin shed, a steel pool heater, PVC pool equipment, pavement, and wood fascia boards. In all cases, I found the sprayer to work sufficiently well. Of course, one's skill is a major variable, so make sure you watch several demo videos before using a sprayer for the first time. The other issue is cleaning the unit after usage: that is essential to its future performance, but also tedious and unpleasant, especially for oil-based paint. My advice is to plan ahead for cleaning, and have your system set up before you even start painting, bc as the paint dries, cleaning is more difficult.

I am absolutely THRILLED with this paint sprayer! I had another one, brand new and used it on most of my fence. It was terrible. Splotchy and couldn’t handle the paint. The paint/stain I am using specifically says in bold letters not to dilute. This sprayer was a game changer! It handled my think paint so well. Applied it so evenly and I used a fraction of the paint I did with the other sprayer!! No cleanup of paint is “easy”, but this was as easy as it gets as far as cleaning the device itself. I’ve only used it once, but did my whole back fence and can’t say enough how happy I am with the purchase.

The HVLP Spray Gun has been a surprise. The sprayer is well designed and simple to assemble and operate. I have used only latex-water based paint and found it easy to clean up after use. The little instruction manual is well written and covers most considerations, but I offer these suggestions:1) Adjust the Rate of Flow (pa. 15) - practice with this by adjusting the rate of flow to the lowest setting and then adjust upward incrementally to learn how much spray you will actually get with each adjustment. I didn't read the section closely and used it on the setting it was on as received and the spray was way-too thick. As a result, I'm having to sand down some runs on my project and respray. My fault...not the sprayer's.2) If you are going to use paint from a can that is left over from another job I highly recommend that you filter the paint through a filter that is included with the sprayer. The paint in a previously opened can will collect particles and sediment, and if those contaminants are not removed they will clog the spray nozzles.3) Purely as a matter of convenience: use a sharpie-permanent marker and mark the sizes on the spray nozzles so that you can clearly see the sizes. The sizes are marked in the tiniest print on the inside and they are virtually impossible to see without a magnifying glass.Good luck...

Really impressed with the VONFORN paint sprayer. It was easy to set up, simple to use, and gave a smooth, even finish right out of the box. I used it on a dresser and some trim—saved me hours compared to brushing. The different nozzles and spray patterns are super handy, and cleaning it was quicker than I expected. Definitely recommend!

I purchased this sprayer to paint a fence that I thought would be too challenging to cover with a brush or roller. It worked amazingly well and the project was finished much more quickly with this sprayer than I imagined. The directions were clearly written and detailed the very important cleaning process to keep the sprayer in good working order for the next job. The main challenge to using this equipment is getting the paint to the correct 'viscosity'. Paint from the can is much too thick to use without diluting it. The finish of the paint after two coats even with all the water that was added to it was perfect. It has been used for multiple projects now and is still working great.
