Looks good so far.
5 stars for the product so far, though not had it long... Apart from arriving safely and promptly the product itself is looking good so far and a great improvement over an older AEG one it is replacing which was horribly noisy and confined to a large soundproofed enclosure. On mains power the CP900EPFCLCD has been to all intents and purposes silent so far. Even a short accidental use of battery power was quiet. The display information giving power/current/runtime etc. is useful. Seems to have integrated fine with iMac power/shutdown features though not tested it works yet. Software straightforward. With a 21.5" iMac with screen on +3 external HD + another unit with an HD in it, it is indicating a runtime of 20-25mins currently (with about 105W or so load). NB this is the smallest (900VA) model. UPSes seem a bit overpriced in general, in technology terms (not this make/model in particular which is one of the relatively lower priced ones), but at least it seems to do what's required nicely. Also small and sits comfortably on the desk.

Very Impressive and Reliable Unit
This was due to be delivered in about 2 weeks, but arrived in less than 3 days. I have a home server which I constantly keep running and the power in our area cuts out often due to a plant close by, so I needed something to protect my equipment. I have my Home Server and Router connected to this UPS and it shows that it can keep them running for around 45 mins without power which I am VERY impressed with as I was expecting about 15 at most. 1 advise I can give is to try out the 'Business Edition' of the Power Panel software which you can get from the CyberPower website for FREE. Here is the link: [...] It takes some setting up but is worth it. This software will send you an email and/or text message when the power goes out or comes back and you can configure a lot more with it.

Decent product
Bought 320 of these for a project, not performed as good as APC one which i bought previously but they are cheaper to buy. So far i have 100 failed in 5 years so not bad.

CP900EPFCLCD is an impressive piece of kit
The 900VA 540W version of this CyberPower UPS isn't currently available in the UK, so I had to order it instead from one of the Amazon Marketplace Continental firms here. Being weighty, I thought it'd suffer during the 1 week of freighting but it arrived double-boxed and in pristine condition. First job was to charge the battery which is done in situ and I chose to do it overnight. No problem there. The LCD display on the front, normally off, gives you lots of info and configurable settings. I didn't use the software supplied with the CP900 but instead used my Mac's built-in UPS settings which appear in the System Preferences/Energy Saver applet once you connect the Mac with the UPS using the USB cable. The only small gripe I have is that, being the Continental version, it came with all six outlets as european Schuko sockets, but I expected that. All six on the version I received were battery-backed outlets. I therefore separately bought some Schuko-to-UK adaptors (inexpensive), and had to be careful about their pin polarities, as otherwise the Line and Neutral could get reversed. CyberPower Europe tell me that they're due to introduce later in 2014 a version with a mix of UK sockets and IEC sockets on it, for sale here in Britain. This 'problem' therefore won't then exist on the UK version, as the plug-and-socket arrangement will be fully keyed. Despite the casing being made of some sort of plastics material, I found the build quality really quite good. This CP900 is of a physical size equating to an A4 boxfile and so comfortably sits under my table, protecting my Mac system. There's still oodles of power in reserve, and really all that's needed is a wait of about 3 mins after the outage, for the computer to then turn itself off. You can set the precise time you want in the UPS settings. The turn-off will happen irrespective of whether the computer's left in Sleep mode or you're working at the computer at the time, so is a good catch-all. If tripped by an outage (even momentarily) or a large brownout, the battery-backed output kicks in and an internal fan runs at high speed for about 5 mins, then turns off. The UPS is otherwise dead silent in operation. Admittedly, this PFC type is expensive but in many cases the cost will still represent only 6 - 10% of the computer and other kit, so you have to view it in that context. This is a 'pure sinewave' type and there was no way I was going to risk an expensive Mac with anything less. Pretty well all IT power supplies of 100 watts and more will, by EU stipulation, be low power-factor types nowadays, and approximated, squared sinewave UPSs don't interface very well with LPF power supplies. CyberPower Europe have fielded some additional technical questions I've put to them. They've been very helpful, exemplary even. Thus far, a good product and a good manufacturer. Haven't put it to the ultimate test yet but I pre-tested it crudely with a 40 watt anglepoise lamp as the load and it worked okay.

excellent and reliable
I already have this unit's larger brother to power my main computer (That can draw over 1KW at full load!) and its has proved to be compact, excellent and reliable. I'd previously had an APC unit which I returned, as the fans kick in even when using AC power once they are over 75% load. These units are SILENT when not providing power. I have this unit powering my 4G router, wireless router and 4 Disk NAS enclosure. on normal use its expected reserve time is over an hour, which usually sees out most power outages in rural Oxfordshire.
