First impressions
I've only been using this for a day, but will update this review later on. Filter: Wow the filter is excellent at removing foul tastes from tap water. I live in a city with a lake fed water supply, and late summer algae blooms in the lake make the water taste terrible. It's allegedly hard to get rid of the compounds in the water from the algae blooms that cause the bad taste and odor, but this filter performs flawlessly. That said, the large filter on my refrigerator performs this task just as well, but anecdotes I've seen about our city's water quality imply that a Brita isn't fully able to eliminate the algae issues. Leakage: I filled up the bottle, turned it upside down, and no water leaks out. Time will tell if it continues to hold up in this regard, but so far so good. I hope it will remain leak proof as I would normally be carrying this in a sling bag and a messenger bag, which would both hold the bottle at angles that would probably cause leakage. Capacity: As mentioned in most reviews, you cannot drink all of the water due to the design of the filter. You're left with 4-6oz of inaccessible water, depending on how you have the filter oriented and the bottle angle (I'm still experimenting on which way is best). This would be less of an issue if the filter only had the opening on the bottom instead of the sides, but I assume this is a design trade off for maximizing filter effectiveness and reducing the pressure needed to draw water through it. I'm ok with the compromises made here, but you might want one of the 48oz bottles instead if capacity is a concern for you. Also note that the 32oz rated capacity includes the filter displacement, so subtracting 4oz of inaccessible water, you can get 28oz of drinkable water per fill. Side note, if you have a Nalgene / Guyout stainless 38oz bottle and are curious if the lid from the Epic Nalgene bottle fits, it does fit, but it also does not seal well enough and will leak. You might be able to really crank it down to get it to seal up, but I didn't want to damage the threads. UPDATE: I used this for a week on vacation for all drinking water in Orlando at a hotel and in the theme parks. If you're familiar with the water in this area, it has a strong sulfur taste and smell, but this filter eliminated it completely. I also had zero issues with the lid leaking, and all in all this bottle / filter performed flawlessly for me all week long. The only con to this bottle is that you can't filter water for others with it. UPDATE 2: I liked the 32oz so much that I ended up getting a 48oz as well. Still no issues with leaking with either of them. UPDATE 3: The new filter design allows you to drink almost all of the water with no trouble, nice! I'm two years in on two of these bottles, still working great, still no leaks. UPDATE 4 (Sept 2025): Three years in now, bottles are still working great, and they still don't leak. They've redesigned the "everywhere" filter again and now it has a bit of charcoal so it does a good job of eliminating weird tastes and it's easier to drink through. 100% still recommend these bottles and filters.

Great Filtration, Awesome Design!
I purchased this after getting a Br*ta water bottle and feeling let down both by the filtration quality and an error in the quantity of replacement filters I ordered at the same time. I had grown accustomed to a large-capacity (40oz) water bottle I was using previously, and the size of the Bri*a water bottle was a disappointment to me too. So when I saw this one with its whopping 48oz capacity and customizable filtration system and its great selection of artistic bottles, though I was skeptical of the price difference, I decided I'd give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! I saw reviews where only one filter type was received and I was worried this might be an error in the listing, however when I received it I found that while the 'everywhere filter' is wrapped separately, the 'everytap' filter was already preinstalled in the cartridge piece-- if you order one, keep this in mind to check before thinking it wasn't included! I haven't yet tried the 'everywhere' filter as I really only need to filter tap water, but I can say that the taste of the water filtered through the everytap filter is definitely nicer than it was with B*ita's filter, I feel like it'll probably last longer than those filters, and I'm very pleased with the 'splurgey purchase.'

Outdoor Bottle.
The filter. I've only used the filter on tap water at this time, and it seems to work well. My household tap tends to have a not so great flavor and with this filter it has a clean, pleasant taste. It is true that the filter only pulls to the last 10 or 12 ounces and for an OUTDOOR filter I am perfectly okay with this. If I'm out hiking, camping or what not and I have to get water from a river, lake or stream the sediment will settle on the bottom of the bottle and will not be sucked up into the filter. It does take some suction force to get water but when you are sucking through a filter, its to be expected. The more you use it the easier it will get. The bottle. This specific bottle is a soft material, which is good for outdoor durability. I'd of preferred a hard bottle. It's a matter of preference is all. The cap. The cap is quality built, easy to use. The lid opens nicely the mouth piece flips up easy and the spot where the carabiner attaches is thick and tough so it wont break easily. The slot that the mouth piece tucks into is also where the air hole is and mine tends to build up a decent amount of water in this area. I think this is due to me squeezing the soft bottle. It's not an issue for leaking but will be an area to pay close attention to when cleaning as its where mold, bacteria etc. will build up and where the mouth piece sits. The carabiner. Nite Ize S-Biner #4, I already own a bunch of these, I like them. Not for climbing use but they are great for gear and can be used for way more than holding just your bottle. I bought this bottle for a trip next month, where water may be questionable. When I get back IF this did not work well I will update the review.

I drink WAY more water -- SO much better than Brita
Why I Was Looking For One: - To cut down on my soda consumption (I drink 52 oz sodas from the gas station at least twice a day; it's gotten to the point where I can guess what gas station it was bought from--I use a reusable cup--if someone else brings me one) - I just moved, and the water here (even with filtered with a Brita filter) was making me throw up. What I Was Hoping To Get: - Eco-friendly - Long-lasting filter - Easy to drink from - Sports Nozzle (the flip-top silicone part) - Filters Fluoride PROS: - Satisfies everything I'm looking for - ACTUAL 5 stage filtration (some others advertised this in their descriptions, but if you did more digging it wasn't really accurate). I can taste a huge difference even from Brita (ugh, why did I ever buy that??) pitcher-filtered water - Filters Fluoride better than all the other water bottle filters I looked at on Amazon - It doesn't feel like you're drinking through a filter, it feels like any other water bottle - Made in the US, doesn't feel like a "huge company"; their emails made them seem more personable - BPA free - Has a water level measurement label in both ml and oz on the one side so you can see how much you're drinking - Doesn't sweat or leave water rings - Doesn't leak CONS: - it's a little wider than a standard size water bottle (the bottom is 3.5'' in diameter), so if you're planning on putting it in a cupholder/backpack, make sure it'll fit - it does need like <0.5'' of water in the bottom before it'll suck without pulling in air because the opening to the filter is on the side rather than the bottom. Doesn't really bother me, but it could be changed if this ever gets updated - doesn't come with a carabiner or compass in the lid like some other brands do. I don't really care that much, but a carabiner would've been nice since it's too wide for the (fabric, not stretchy mesh) side pockets on my backpack - The color is slightly different from the company photos. The pictures in the review are more accurate to how it appears in person. I'm planning on getting the pitcher they make at some point as well, which also seems to be rated highly. Seems like a great choice!

Good product! Lacking instructions
I love the concept and it seems to work well. Not a super noticeable difference in taste but I think it tastes better. I just care about not drinking metals! It came in a bag, inside of a bag. No social boxing or logos which make ordering fun. It also came with NO INSTRUCTIONS which was frustrating for me. I heard you’re supposed to run cold water over filter or let it soak in a bowl of water, but no instructions so I had to search it up. Apparently Epic Water actually filters out bad chemicals and metals from tap water many times more than Brita. I almost bought Brita which is a similar price. But I am happy I got this! My only recommendation: add packaging not just bags, add instructions, add maybe a couple fun stickers like most nalgenes come with.

Nice and tall
Is it really tall now good plastic pretty cool design. It comes with a straw and filters type thing. The filters were hard to suck through. I thought they're kind of gimmicky. I ended up taking out the straw and the filters. I have them in case I ever want to use them in the future, but I just kind of use it to drink out of the top with this a cool idea called design just might not be the perfect thing, but I love how tall it is makes me drink more water which we need

Happy with this for international travel
I got this for a trip to Vietnam and it worked great! I was worried about the international water so I used the stronger filter and didn't have any issues. The bottle didn't leak, although I can understand why some of the comments complain about it - you have to screw the top on farther than a normal bottle to get it to not leak, which might break it some day. At least for now, I'm happy, and I think it was good bang for buck.

Great for travel or hybrid work to filter water.
This little filter is a powerhouse. I do wish I had chosen a larger size water bottle, but that is my fault for not being more careful. I use this to keep in my living quarters on the days my hybrid work is in person (a different city than my home). It allows less bulky water filtering with less stuff needed (no big pitcher or faucet attachments) and is portable if I wanted it to be. There is no smell, is easy to use and being Nalgene, I know the quality and durability is there. It may cost a little more, but it will be good for life and can be taken camping, too, I love it.

Epic Nalgene filter
Works great. Tap water tastes fresh and clean. Components feel like they are high quality, and assemble easily. It is not difficult to suck water through the filter. When the water level gets low, you can't use the filter, and have to top up. Filters are easy to change. At the time of writing I haven't tried the everywhere filter for outdoor water sources, so unfortunately can't speak to that.

Missing carabiner
Bottle arrived without the carabiner. Reached out and was told it is no longer included. Unfortunate that it was only made known upon me reaching out that no carabiner will be provided. Would have given 5 stars for the bottle. Knocked off 2 stars for not giving the product as shown.

Great purifier for sketchy water sources
This is more than a filter it’s a purifier. Filters out lots of contaminants including viruses so great for travelling including 3rd world water sources . This one came with 2 filters which was a surprise as only 1 was listed. The 2nd filter was there every tap water filter. I have an epic pitcher which is awesome and if you join there filter club you get a discount. Epic filters/purifier is the real deal and has lots of independent testing done to prove what they claim. Price was an absolute bargin. $52 for bottle and 2 filters was same price as just 1 filter.

Super Praktisch
Klare Empfehlung!
