UNIKA MitreBond Superglue & Aerosol Activator

Excellent product for an excellent price. Used this for some skirting and it took almost instantly and held perfectly. It’s very easy to use, glue on one piece, activator on the other and then just hold the pieces together for a few seconds and that’s it. Very versatile and can be used for most wood joints. As a note it does go off very quickly so make sure you’re ready with the pieces you are sticking together.

I was pleasantly surprised at how efficiently these two items work together. The glue is a little thicker than the Loctite superglue but it works extremely well! I found that the activator was the thing that made the difference. Apply the glue then spray the activator and the bond is formed. The bond with this glue is extremely strong just to test it. I used it on two small pieces of steel it when I tried to pull them apart, they bent. I would highly recommend this pack.

Whilst mitrebond type glue products where originally sold for assembling upvc frames this stuff can be used just about anywhere you might use conventional super glue. The bond created also seems to be typically much stronger, and it is also possible to spray the activator on to the item after gluing instead. This allows you time to position your items well, not apply excessively, and then get a very fast, predictable set at the exact moment it is required. Generally it is found over a number of years stored away that most superglues will set in the bottle after it has been opened. So if it has not been used in a while remember to check and inspect occasionally.

Sticks nearly anything

Bought this several times now which in itself should say how impressed I am with its ease of use and strength of bond . Used during recent kitchen installation where used to bond mitred joints .

Excellent product but you've got to work quick. For some things it can easier to apply the glue first, get it into place and then spray the activator. It'll stick almost anything to anything. Best price I could find too.

I have just completed glueing 1600 LED's to a sheet of plastic using this quick-set glue. Having used another brand of similar glue for 1200 of them, I ran short and was able to get this brand to me quicker to finish off the other 400 LED's I am very impressed with UNIKA MitreBond Superglue & Aerosol Activator. The bottle shape is far better for control. The top lid incorporates a pin to keep the hole free. The inner top section is screwed to the bottle (not just a push fit), so if the lid did get stuck to it, you can separate the two parts more easily. It seemed faster setting to me than the other brand, so I was working more efficiently, and to end it all, the smell of the spray it slightly better than the other type used, and after installing 1600 LEDs, that makes a difference :-)

It makes such a difference having the spray as well as the glue. Easy to use. Not too thick. But not overly runny.
