IRWIN 1602L3 Visegrip Long Nose Plier 4in, Silver

Small, cheap, and ideal to have in a small tool bag when there is only room for a few essentials.

I wanted this Mole-grip/Vicegrip to get into a confined space and unscrew a component that had rusted on at work, so I chose this 4" version, the smallest one listed on Amazon. Irwin 'Visegrip's are the quality locking jaw plier brand as stated on the packet: 'The Original - since 1924'. Not quite sure where the 4" comes in but these long nose grips have a nose of 4cm (1.5") and the total length is 5.5" (13cm) x 1.25" (3.2cm) high. The jaws can open to 1.5/8th inch (4.1cm). These Vice-Grips are similar in quality to the Stanley 'Mole-Grip' line of locking pliers, although Irwin claim these grips have a 2x longer life and are 25% stronger than the opposition. I've had larger versions of these grips for well over 30 years and they have never failed. Great value at the £8.70 I paid direct from Amazon, so 5*, and I've now bought a second pair for home use. The USA Irwin group also own the British Marples brand and Rubbermaid.

Perfect for those little jobs where a vise grip is needed, I bought this to do a job my bigger vise grip was too large for! There is a little bit of play in the jaws, they tend to move side-to-side quite easily.

I bought this to use when repairing/servicing my pedal bikes. It is excellent, with a long grippy nose which is ideal for clamping cable ends, nuts etc. It is easy to use, adjust and release and will last for a very long time. Superb build quality and I highly recommend.

The Vicegrip range of “mole grips” are simply the best, I wouldn’t have any other brand. These arrived promptly and went straight into use

It did the job with ease as soon as I tried it to remove the bleed screw on my radiator. Whereas before all my tools were far too big. Excellent tool well done maker.

The length of the pliers clamps. They are compact and work perfectly.

Tool is outstanding. Couldn't be without it. Made by a reputable company. Others the locking (clamping) mechanism would not stay locked.

Worth the price. We'll made tool! This helped me remove the stripper brake pad axle screw. Didn't have to resort in drilling
