Love this product (updated with results)
UPDATE - I used this in February 2024 and writing my udpate in late September 2024 (I will leave my original review below) in summary, my plants have GONE WILD this summer. I am so happy with this product. All my plants (roses, cypress trees, japanese maple trees) where I used this product are vibrant, fragrant and growing so fast. My roses are still blooming!! A bit of an experiment for me as I didnโt use this at the time of planting. We have lots of different types of plants in a planter thatโs not particularly deep. I dug a bit around each plant (carefully to avoid damaging roots), sprinkled the product on roots I could see and then covered it back with soil. I think itโs worth a try, at worst the fungi will release nutrients in the soil. I wish Iโd known about this many years ago!!!

Handy size packet
What I needed for my rose cuttings. Followed the instructions and lets see how long they grown for, may come back with an update. Value for money, easy to use, so far so good, good size.

Working so far
I've noticed a slight difference the growth of my plants, maybe it's too soon to say. Decent value for money, a little goes a long way considering the size of the pouch. Slightly longer visible roots on the ones I treated this with.

Surprising.
After reading how brilliant Cotoneaster franchetii plants are at eating roadside pollution, I decided to buy several for my front yard and got some bare root young plants (about 10"/25cm tall) and thought I'd give this product a go. I followed the instructions by sprinkling the product into the holes I'd dug for the plants. As they were bare root plants, though, I also put a few scoops into a bowl, and swished the roots themselves all over the fungi granules, so that the roots (which I'd lightly sprayed with water) picked up the fungi powder, giving the roots a nice coating. Anyhoo... just four short weeks later, and the shrubs are absolutely thriving. I can actually see the difference, and even my wife commented on how much these plants have grown and filled out. I really can't praise this stuff highly enough... In gardening, there are heaps and heaps of gimmicky products that do little or nothing, and certainly don't fulfil their varied bold claims... but this stuff is not a gimmick, and it has way surpassed any expectations I had for it. It's simply fantastic. Very surprising indeed. I can't say if this stuff will work with all types of plants, but it definitely works on shrubs and bushes etc... It's even supposed to work on small trees... I actually read recently in a science magazine, that trees rely on a symbiotic relationship with root fungi like this, and scientists have only just realised the extent to which this relationship is needed by the tree... It was reading that article, that inspired me to try this stuff. I'll be planting a fruit tree in my back-yard soon (my apple tree was destroyed by a recent storm) and I will DEFINITELY be using this stuff very liberally in the hole and on the roots. Five stars out of five... Absolutely fantastic stuff.

Root growth
I've not tried this item at the moment but it says scoop included but there isn't one I brought two packs and neither had a scoop reason for giving three stars

Ideal for our bare root roses
We purchased this Empathy RHS rootgrow mycorrhizal fungi for our bare root roses. It is really important that when planting bare root roses that the roots are sprinkled with some mycorrhizal fungi. This is the first time we have purchased this particular brand and upon opening, looking at the texture, amount and ease of use we are very pleased. (Only in the summer will we know for definite if it worked! :) However it looks very similar to the brand we normally use. RHS is a reputable recommendation so we are confident that this is a good product. As normal we soaked the bare root rose for a few hours and then sprinkled some of this rootgrow on the roots before planting in the hole in the ground. This item arrived as described and was easy to access in the packet. It sprinkled nicely and there was a good amount inside the bag. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.

Quite big grains
Alright to use but quite big grains, I was expecting powder, still to be seen how effective it is.
