Does the purple and yellow lava lamp also have red in it like the photo. Thank you

I have two of these now and can confirm it looks like in the photo. The lava is yellow when on or near the bottom but appears red as it travels up to the top of the lamp. Its a great effect in fact looking like extreme hot lava below and cooler redder lava the higher it goes.

Does the lava lamp come with a timer and switch itself off after a period of time ? Thank-you.

No it has a plug for mains electricity.

Is it safe with the British standards?

Yes, I have been running it for hours at a time and it is safe. Not really safe to touch it though because it heats up, although there is a warning about it on the box and lamp.
