Why would a children’s book about swimming have a book about a Muslim holiday inserted in the middle?

This is well written and includes beautiful illustrations. This will be a great tool to assist in teaching a child to swim. I highly recommend!

I love everything about this book. The watercolor illustrations by Sue Ann Erickson are so beautiful. The writing is simple, clear, and compassionate. Lovely to read to my 3 yo grandson who is learning to swim. The aspect of safety is perfectly layered with the joy of swimming. I recommend this book for all young children learning to swim and for learning to stay safe around water. It’s clear that Marcia Stanley knows her stuff, both children and teaching.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter is learning how to swim right now and loved this book. The first time I brought it to her she had me read it 3 times during the day. Highly recommend it for toddlers and up -especially ones just starting to swim.

This is a special book, written by a well qualified author who has taught many children to swim over the decades. She projects a natural understanding of young children and addresses their fears of swimming. Beautifully illustrated.
