I bought this mainly to connect a PS2 to a modern TV, and it worked exactly as I wanted it to. Setup was straightforward and it allowed the console to display properly over HDMI without any issues. It was a simple and affordable way to keep using older hardware on newer televisions that no longer have the right inputs. I can't comment on every device it's compatible with, but based on my experience with the PS2 I'd expect it to be useful for other older AV devices as well. Overall, it's done exactly what I bought it for and I'd happily recommend it if you're trying to connect older consoles to a modern display.

After buying a new tv and realising that it didn't have a Jack input that my old tv had to connect my older (but still great) home theatre surround sound/dvd player I found this device. Really pleased with the outcome so far. I was able to connect via a HDMI slot and surround sound is working again. Picture quality is ok-ish but I knew I would have to sacrifice that to get my surround sound working again. Next time I buy a tv I'll take more notice of what slots are available.

Got this adapter after the first one I bought (the GANA one) stopped working on me after 30 mins. Was very surprised by how sturdy this one feels in comparison with a more metallic body over the plastic of the GANA. Use it to play my Wii on my newer monitor and it just works. The picture does get some oddly distributed black bars on 16:9 displays but its to be expected. The only complaint would be the lack of a power switch meaning I need to unplug its USB 5v supply whenever I want to turn it off as the box does get reasonably hot after a while. Whether this affects its longevity is yet to be seen but as of writing this review its all working fine. The 720p/1080p switch seems somewhat redundant given RCA cables could only output up to 480 and again would much rather see a power switch here.

This product is a very good idea, and ideal for retro gaming monkeys like me, too bad it didn't work! This product makes absolutely no sense, I purchased this Neo Teck RCA to HDMI with high hopes to be able to play my PlayStation 1 games on my PS2 slim on an old LG T.V circa 2010 which does not support resolutions of 480p or lower which PlayStation pushed, so?.. you may ask, well, if your T.V was not manufactured to support said lower resolution than what difference will any converter do for you?, if your T.V supports 720p or 1080p than why on earth would you need this converter in the first place, a component cable is all you need and does a much much better job than this Noteck so called converter. The electronics industry has become very confusing and nonsensical, just the other day I realized that my brand new so called "Smart T'V" doesn't even have something so basic as a headphone socket!.... and they call this the golden age of technological enlightenment?...

Using it for the original Xbox it works just fine but I was half expecting it to clean up and make the image sharper but it looks exactly the same as plugging in using scart which is disappointing. So if you need this because you only have hdmi ports available then fine, it will work for the original Xbox but don't expect a better Image.

If you're a retro console gamer, unless you use an older TV that has the necessary connections for your consoles you may have come across a certain problem. It goes something like this. You buy a converter and it doesn't work, doesn't work well (like poor picture quality/colours for example), or decides to randomly work with one console and not another. I even bought one specifically, for example, the SNEs, N64, and gamecube, yet it only worked from my testing with the SNES, and not very well either. I went through a few other converters, determined not to spend a lot of money on one, and ended up with a setup where I had separate converters for each system, as one wouldn't work with another etc. This one works. With each system I try it with. And it provides decent image quality to go along with that. That's a win for me.

In the first month of using this in conjunction with my n64, it only worked once. I invited my friends round to play on my new set up which they came round a few weeks later only for the screen to be black and white with no sound. N64 works fine directly into the TV, but not when using this. Absolute trash please avoid. Another thing I would say about this is if you do buy one and it does work properly, it does leave a large black border around your screen, not using the whole of your tv. Absolute rubbish and I wish to return it. The seller got in touch and sent me a replacement that so far seems to work alright, but I did already buy a replacement as well. I think it's only fair to change my review as they seem like a good seller who wishes to help their customers.

Reçu avant même la date initialement annoncée par Amazon, ce convertisseur RCA vers HDMI fonctionne parfaitement entre mon ancien caméscope analogique Sony et mon nouveau téléviseur LG OLED 140cm. Je me réjouis en regardant mes anciennes mini-cassettes vidéo sur grand écran. Ne pas oublier de raccorder, à part le câble RCA mâle-mâle (non fourni) et le câble HDMI mâle-mâle (non fourni), le câble USB vers le power Input DC5V (fourni). Le connecter, par exemple à la fiche de charge d'un iPhone ou de n'importe quelle fiche de chargeur. Seul le 720p/60Hz fonctionne sur le téléviseur. Quand on switche vers le 1080p/60Hz, la télé s'éteint. Le 1080p pourrait fonctionner sur l'iMac. On verra. Reste donc à trouver le câble adaptateur HDMI vers USB de l'iMac. Très content de cet achat !

Ich nutze den Adapter, um meinen Videorecorder (SCART) mit einem neuen 65"-TV von LG zu verbinden, bei dem der Hersteller leider den analogen SCART-Eingang eingespart hat. Der Adapter wird über die USB-Buchse am Fernseher mit Strom versorgt. Funktioniert wie erwartet, Ton ist gut und synchron. Das Bild kann natürlich nur so gut sein, wie es der Videorecorder bei den alten Aufnahmen liefert. Es wird so wiedergegeben wie am alten Fernseher (damals noch mit SCART). Auf einem UHD-Großbildschirm sieht das dann weniger gut aus als auf einem kleinen TV. Die Farben sind zu kräftig (übersättigt), das musste ich am TV zurückregeln. Auch das Bildformat (Video hat 4:3, TV hat 16:9) wird vom Fernseher nicht automatisch erkannt und angepasst. Das Metallgehäuse ist robust und erwärmt sich kaum. Das ist ein klares Plus gegenüber anderen Modellen, die alle im Plastikgehäuse daherkommen. Alles in allem für mich eine gute und geldwerte Lösung, um nochmal alte Videos aus den 90ern anzuschauen.

Comoda per usare i segnali AV / CVBS su un ingresso hdmi. Certo la qualità delle immagini è bassa ma è mormale un segnale cvbs / av ha di suo una bassa risoluzione. Ci si deve accontentare almeno che non si acquista attrezzature che hanno risoluzione full hd, sto parlando della sorgente video che nel mio caso sono le telecamere per streaming. Per quello che serve va benissimo. Ho fatto molte ore di streaming e fin ora non ho mai riscontrato problemi. È ben fatto e robusto, si sente la qualità.
