Does the intended job without fuss.
The instructions are clear, the materials provided to assist fitting the screen protector are satisfactory, and the screen itself is a good fit to the Surface Pro. Provided that you put in the necessary time in reading the instructions, follow them closely (in particular, make sure that you clean the screen properly at the right stage) and be patient, all will be well.An added bonus is that the protectors are good value and arrive well packed.

Probably like most people
After a lot of product searching and checking reviews I decided on this JETech screen protector for several reasons. Probably like most people, I wanted a product that would protect my screen from scratches and damage, leave no annoying ‘bubbles’, allow my touch screen to work as it did before, and basically be unobtrusive. There are lots of options available, many based on laminated plastic films of various types. Clearly they can never offer the same scratch resistance as hardened glass and the JETech protector proclaims it is made of extra hardened ‘9H’ toughened shatter proof glass, and that it is a “one-push super easy installation, bubble free”.It comes in a well packaged box with a lens/screen cloth, a sticky film for removing dust and 2 applicator tabs. On the plus side are the clear instructions on the box.I did make sure I thoroughly cleaned the screen before I did anything. The supplied screen cloth is fine, but quite small, so I used a larger microfiber cloth first then used the supplied one as a final clean. Before I did anything I laid the supplied screen protector over my Surface Pro 3 and was surprised to find it was NOT a 100% match for fit. It is, however close. The protector is ever so slightly too small and the cut-outs for the speaker holes are slightly out. This is crucial as if you align and fit the protector up close along the top edge of the screen you will partially cover the front facing camera and other associated LEDs and sensors. Fortunately, I realized this before I stuck the screen protector down! The trick is to align the protector so that the camera and LEDs are aligned, which leaves a half mm border around the screen unprotected (a very very small gap).Other reviewers noted the piece of supplied sticky tape is small and that the instructions say this will ‘cover’ the screen. It won’t. I expect these are standard instructions for a range of other devices with smaller screens (phones, cameras etc). However, it doesn’t really matter. The idea is to dab on and peel back the tape, thereby lifting off any surface dust instead of wiping with a cloth and possibly adding more dust to the screen (or creating a static charge that attracts yet more dust to it).A suggestion – use an air blower/puffer commonly used with cameras – very cheap. Dust will, unavoidably, land on the screen continuously and it is easy to blow dust off right up to the point you fit the protector.Initially I stuck the supplied fitting ‘tabs’ as instructed but quickly realized they are all but useless and don’t stay on. The idea is to help avoid you touching the screen once the protective film is removed exposing the sticky side. Good idea. Doesn’t work in principle and you run the risk of the tabs peeling off and the screen dropping. Trick was to lightly touch the protector along the edge whilst aligning it. This is helped by it being glass not a plastic film as it has some rigidity and I managed to avoid touching the sticky side. It took me several attempts to align it properly (see above issue). But once there the screen slowly attached itself aided by gently smoothing outwards. The good news is that there are no bubbles and I was successful in not trapping any dust bar a tiny bit. The touch screen works just as it did before. It is unobtrusive, although I think there is a very slight loss of ‘sharpness’ over the original screen (the manufacturers claim a 95% light transmission).I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the fit could be improved. That said, it is unlikely to start peeling off as there are no areas that overhang the original screen and it is hardly noticeable.Good: Hardened glass protector, unobtrusive, relatively easy to align and fit, no bubbles. And it hasn’t affected the touch screen sensitivity.Bad: Slight errors in cut and fit of the protector to the original screen making it more awkward to align, and I noticed a couple of very small manufacturing marks on the glass. Lifting tabs that are all but useless, and the sticky film for lifting dust off is quite small (minor issue).

Protection without losing pen or touch function
The media could not be loaded. The most important thing for me getting a screen protector for my Surface Pro 9 was that the pen and touch functionality was not affected. I am very happy to report that it all still works completely as expected, and I am able to take notes and make sketches without any issues (the only possible caveat here is that I do not take advantage of the many different pressure levels in the pen as a digital artist might). Easy to install despite being quite a big screen protector, has a video guide to help explain the steps. The screen protector covers the whole screen except for the front camera/mic array, and the speakers.

Not great for me as a touch only user.
I cleaned my Surface and fitted the screen protector.Pros -Fitted perfectlyAttached to the screen smoothly with no bubbles at allSeemed sturdyCons -Touch sensitivity dropped to the point it felt like my Surface was broken. It may work better for Surface Pen users, I don't know - I don't have one. Tried every Windows tweak I could think of to improve things but gave up and had to remove it. I assume I can't return it used so now I'm stuck with the used one and a spare that I'll never use. Not great.

A great screen protector
Bought in order to add to school surface pro 9. Was a little worried that it would effect the use of the pen or touchscreen, but there was nothing to worried about.Very easy to apply using the stickers and instructions, was left with one air bubble at the top, but its hardly noticeable.Device works perfectly. A good product for an excellent price.
