HUION Inspiroy H640P Drawing Tablet 6x4 inch Graphic Tablet for Beginner

As a complete novice when it comes to graphics tablets, this tablet has made my foray into this world so easy. I’m still figuring out various functions (I’m still a little unsure what the buttons on the side do), but so far this has taken my drawing ability to the next level. The first time I came to use it, I was a little concerned what the set up would be like however, it was incredibly simple. I was a little disheartened at first as I couldn’t find a drawing programme that emulated how I used to draw on my iPad a few years ago, but after I found one that suited me I was able to really get to grips with the tablet itself. The pressure sensitivity seems great, I do a lot of calligraphy which requires a tool that picks up on varying pressures and this pen is great at it. It’s a great size as well, which was a concern that I’d be slipping off the edges but after about 20 hours of use so far this hasn’t happened yet. Honestly this is an excellent starter tool and I’m so glad I bought it. Take the time to figure out the best drawing software for you (I use AutoDesk Sketchbook) and I promise you will have hours of fun. I understand this may not have all the functionality needed for a professional, but for a hobby artist it’s great, especially for the price.

I personally call it an A- because so much of this tablet is brilliant but one real issue that takes away from it. However, it should be an easily fixed issue, just waiting for Huion to fix it. Your mileage may vary on how much of an issue it is for you though. Good points: Sturdy feel, lovely thick & light pen without battery, sleek design, so many buttons to customize, great amount of drawing space. Nice feel to draw on, smooth but slightly textured plastic surface. Not too big, so fits well on your lap, and very light. Drawing on your phone works well, easy to set up. Good, fast tracking of movements. Bad points: Pen pressure curve currently is a bit off, but they should make a firmware update for it so this problem should be temporary. However that's not a big deal for the average user doing moderate work, but worth noting if you want to be doing professional or technical work if you will go from thin to very thick lines in a stroke & want that precision. The pen once in the stand is a little wobbly, but it's cute. The glove doesn't really sit well on left-handed people. Honestly I don't notice the pressure curve when doing most work so if you want the tablet to draw and paint, it shouldn't be a huge issue. Especially if you're looking at this for the value compared to similarly spec'd options, or indeed want to draw on your phone/tablet.

It works fine, but I ended up needing a much finer degree of control

This drawing tablet is amazingly good value for money. It comes with the tablet and pen, the cable, a drawing glove, a pen stand with eight spare nibs, and an extra gift of 10 pen nibs. The driver software is pretty easy to install and use. I’m left-handed, and I managed to switch the tablet round so that the keys are on the right hand side and not in my way as a I draw. I’ve set up some of the press keys and they’re very useful. I thought they weren’t working for a while at first, but it turned out I’d turned on the lock switch at the side of the tablet and that was the reason. So, if you buy one and find the press keys aren’t working, check the lock switch! The tablet itself is lightweight and looks pretty sleek. It has rubber feet at the bottom, so it doesn’t move around as you use it. I haven’t travelled with it yet, but I’d imagine it would be easy to slip into a bag, as it’s pretty thin. The pen is okay; it’s a nice shape but pretty light. Overall, I’d really recommend this tablet to someone starting out in digital art. This is my first tablet, and I’ve found it a pleasure to use and learn with.

I regrettably had to return this. I have a Huion Kamvas 13 that apparently has the same pen pressure sensitivity as this Huion H640P, but the H640P definitely does not feel responsive in the way it should feel. I've been using graphics tablets for the past 20+ years, ever since I was in high school back in the mid 2000s, so I have plenty of experience with them. I've tried messing around in the pressure sensitivity and just can't get it to a comfortable setting, even reinstalled the tablet driver a few times so to make sure it was all set up correctly.. it just requires me to put too much pressure down, which considering I am already heavier-handed when sketching really says something and isn't ideal. The pen also has more of a bouncy feeling on the tip, which while feels fun at first, when the pressure doesn't respond it just makes it more irritating to use than anything, and I found that it offsets the placement of lines so it isn't as accurate as it should be. I also tried it out on my phone first, using Sketchbook and ibis paint, and the problem was just the same as it is on my computer, and like I said, even changing pressure settings didn't get it to a satisfactory point. I'm also surprised to see it works via micro-USB and not USB-C for some reason, even though it does have a USB-A to USB-C adaptor? I dunno, I'm just surprised they went with micro USB for it, not that it really impacts anything since you get the cables with it. It's a real shame, as I really wanted to have a tablet this size again (all of my Wacom tablets since 2005ish were around the same size)so I wouldn't have to have my Huion Kamvas 13 taking up so much space when I'm just sat drawing while in my living room chair and not at a desk. I might have to try an alternative tablet brand of this size and just hope it works feeling more like all the other tablets I've used over the years. That said, it was easy enough to set up, just plug in, download the correct drivers from the Huion website and go. It's a perfect size for beginners, but theres just too much with it causing issues for me personally.

My granddaughter absolutely loves it and uses it on daily basis

I'm absolutely flabbergasted but this tablet is better than the Intuos pro tablets. I have been using Wacoms for decades and decided to buy this because I was curious. Absolutely blown away by the quality and performance for the price! Crazy! Don't hesitate to buy, this tablet is seriously good. Using it on my M1 MacBook, pretty much plug and play, changed a few things in the driver so I can use it on two screens. Even the drivers are better and much easier to install than Wacom. Will definitely be buying trying more Huions from now on! SO GOOD!

This is my first tablet and I am very pleased with it. It was very easy to set up and start working with, and to get used to it too. I only wish it had come with more written instructions on using it, but all the information is in the manual online (very succint manual too). It comes very well packaged, with its wireless pen, pen support, and 18 extra pen nibs (8 in the clever support storage and 10 more in a bag), plus cabling and a glove to be able to lay your hand against the tablet while working. It feels very comfortable to work with, and the handy buttons make it even easier. It's also very light and easy to move around, but it won't shift while using it.

Premetto che tutto ciò che sto per dire proviene da una persona che non ha mai utilizzato una tavoletta grafica, ne tanto meno ha praticato arte precedentemente. Ho acquistato questa tavoletta grafica puramente per curiosità in quanto mi sono sempre ritenuto affascinato all'arte digitale ma non sono mai stato in grado di disegnare efficacemente tramite l'utilizzo del mouse. La tavoletta (al di fuori dell'imballaggio di spedizione) è arrivata all'interno di una confezione dall'aspetto pulito e professionale, all'interno vi era la tavoletta vera e propria, documentazione varia, lo stilo, un set di 10 punte di ricambio in omaggio, un guanto ideato per ridurre la frizione della mano sulla tavoletta, e una base porta stilo che funziona sia da utensile per la sostituzione della punta sia da porta punte di ricambio (all'interno ve ne sono già 8, le quali portano il totale delle punte a 19 tenendo conto di quella già montata sullo stilo). All'inizio la tavoletta non rispondeva correttamente ad alcuni comandi e ogni tanto vi era un po' di jitter nel tracking dello stilo (andava a scatti), tuttavia la cosa si è immediatamente risolta tramite il download e l'installazione dei driver. Ci sono voluti all'incirca una decina di minuti per abituarmi all'utilizzo della tavoletta (all'inizio non sembrava molto naturale visto e considerato che non ne avevo mai utilizzata una) ma non appena abituato è stato relativamente semplice migliorare la mia destrezza nell'utilizzo dello stilo. Personalmente lo raccomando a chiunque abbia intenzione di muovere i suoi primi passi nel mondo dell'arte digitale in quanto è molto semplice da utilizzare ed ha un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo!

Dopo aver confrontato diverse tavolette grafiche della stessa fascia di prezzo, ho deciso di scegliere questa Huion (63€ a maggio 2020) soprattutto per il touch ring, con cui mi trovavo bene su una tavoletta precedente e che non tutti i tablet hanno. All'interno della confezione troviamo: • la tavoletta - molto sottile, il che non la rende ingombrante nonostante le dimensioni generose dell'area di lavoro (10 pollici) e le consente di essere facilmente trasportabile. Presenta 12 tasti fisici completamente personalizzabili dal software apposito. Se le funzioni di default non dovessero funzionare, consiglio di confrontare la mappatura delle scorciatoie del programma utilizzato (ad esempio ho dovuto riprogrammare la funzione legata alla modifica dell'ampiezza del pennello dal touch ring perché la combinazione di huion non corrispondeva a quella presente su phoshop, accessibile da modifica > scelte rapide da tastiera). Sono presenti anchr altri 16 "soft key" touch, anch'essi programmabili, che non ho utilizzato. • la penna - leggera e bilanciata. All'interno della base sono presenti le punte di ricambio. L'unico "fastidio" per me è il fatto che la penna non si incastri esattamente nella sua base e risulti quindi un po' traballante, ho risolto riponendola in orizzontale :D • il cavo di alimentazione con uscita USB e gli adattatori micro-USB e USB-C per connettere la tavoletta ai dispositivi android (utile in trasferta :D) • un guantino anti-attrito in omaggio (in alcune recensioni ho visto che al suo posto erano presenti altre punte di riserva per la penna) • un finto "CD" di installazione che riporta soltanto il link del sito adeguato per il download del software - veloce e intuitivo :D Considerazioni: la utilizzo per hobby e non per disegno professionale, quindi non posso parlare di alte prestazioni, ma la tavoletta è efficiente e "morbida" e (arrivando da un 2048, rispetto agli 8192 della HS610) i livelli di pressione si sentono tutti; inoltre non mi ha dato problemi di compatibilità o lag con programmi di grafica come PS, Krita e Medibang. Come ho detto apprezzo molto la presenza del touch ring e dei molti tasti personalizzabili. Se vi state avvicinando al mondo del digitale o se semplicemente - come la sottoscritta :D - avete un budget limitato, ma non per questo volete rinunciare alla qualità, mi sento di consigliare a pieno titolo questa Huion, che non ha nulla da invidiare alle tavolette di un'altra nota marca, che per lo stesso prezzo offre la fascia medio-bassa e, per questo, molte meno prestazioni.

Je suis absolument ravi de cette tablette graphique! La tablette est légère, mais solide, avec une surface de dessin lisse qui offre juste la bonne quantité de résistance pour des traits précis. L'installation a été un jeu d'enfant. En quelques minutes, le pilote est téléchargé et installé et j'étais prêt à dessiner. La compatibilité avec les principaux logiciels de graphisme est excellente, j'ai pu tester avec Photoshop et Clip Studio Paint sans aucun problème. Le stylet est un autre point fort. Il est ergonomique et sensible à la pression, ce qui permet un contrôle précis et une sensation naturelle. Les niveaux de sensibilité sont parfaits pour varier l'épaisseur des lignes et ajouter des détails subtils à mes créations. J'apprécie également les boutons personnalisables sur la tablette et le stylet, qui me permettent de configurer des raccourcis selon mes besoins. Cela rend mon flux de travail beaucoup plus efficace. Enfin, le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable. Pour une tablette de cette qualité, le prix est très raisonnable. En résumé, cette tablette graphique a dépassé toutes mes attentes et je suis très heureux de cet achat!
