Really sturdy helpful slicing tool
I used it for slicing beetroot, rather than eggs, for salad. It is quick and easy. Also works on cheese. Easy to clean and doesn't take up too much space.

Brilliant egg slicer very strong metal one I was expecting a plasticky one I love using this.

Went black!!
Arrived as expected, put in dishwasher to ensure it was clean for use (instructions state it is dishwasher safe). Got it out and it had turned black and leaves black residue all over your hands. Tried to scrub off in the sink however black keeps coming off. DO NOT BUY!!

Gives off black residue - aluminum oxide
The slicer gives off a black residue (aluminum oxide) that goes over your hands and the egg. Tried to wash and scrub it multiple times but the black residue kept coming back. I would not advise to buy one. Shame as the actual operation of the slicer was good but just not sure if the black residue (aluminum oxide) is safe to eat or not.
