Overpriced
Thin plastic fitting with rubber seal to fit internally into a 100mm vent pipe. The cap removes to enable a small respirator-style carbon filter to be inserted. The box also contains a spare foil-wrapped filter which is supposed to last 2 years once opened. I suspect most smells arise when a breeze blows across an open vent pipe and pulls out the foul air. This device will greatly restrict the exchange of air and it is this that probably reduces the smell. I suspect the fitting and filters would cost just a few pounds to make, but I couldn't find anything cheaper this side of the Atlantic.
