Does this work with LVT?

Good Morning Gary.

Thank you for your interest in our Electric underfloor heating. This is our foil mat system and can be used under LVT if the manufacturer says the heating can go directly onto the heating system.

Based on my experience of LVT and underfloor heating a lot of manufacturers would require an imbedded heating system. This would mean laying an under tile heat mat and covering with 10-12mm of leveling compound before laying your LVT.

What is the temperature range

Good Morning.

These heat mats can be placed at any temperature between 0 and 40 degrees through the thermostats. This heat mat is designed to go directly under laminate or engineered wood and most of those types of floor have a maximum temperature of around 27 degrees but is always worth checking this with the flooring manufacturer before setting the tempratures.

Does this work under vinyl flooring?

Thank you for your interest in our Electric underfloor heating.

Under most vinyl we would recommend an under tile mat with a 10-12mm self level on top in order to lay the vinyl, so in this instance we would not recommend that this be used under vinyl.

Do you need fibre wood Underlay?

Good Afternoon.

Thank you for your interest in our Electric Underfloor heating range. With this heating system you would require an insulation underneath on the sub-floor. This could be either our 6mm impact plus insulation or our Hard Insulation Board.

You must not lay this heating without insulation otherwise it will lead to the heating being damaged.
