Well made and reasonably priced
This is a well-made, effective, and very reasonably priced hernia support belt. I wore it while I had a hernia and after having an operation to repair the hernia. It was and still is very beneficial. Some have complained about getting the proper fitting. Here is how I did it. First sit on a chair and pull the strap up to about mid thigh level, and then close both velcro straps loosely. Then stand up and adjust the belt so it fits. Finally adjust the strap that goes from the belt around your buttocks and back to the belt. It will all be a little loose on you, so sit down again and adjust the velcro some so it is tighter, and try again. A couple iterations should do it. When you want to remove the support, just pull it down like you take off your underwear. Don't open the straps. When you want to wear it again, just pull it on like you do your underwear or pants. You are ready to go. I wear the support over boxer briefs and experience no chafing. This is a very good product in my opinion.

Fits well and does it's job.
It took a bit (a week or so) to really 'get the feel' for this. It seems to do a good job though, when I take it off 'everything's where I left it.' I wore this to Josha Tree and hiked for miles without any real issues. It takes a bit to get used to the strap and tension but it's better than the feeling without it. I did go in and had my doctor review it, and he feels comfortable using this on an ongoing basis to manage the hernia without any stated limitations. I'll just check with him annually unless something changes. I use the smaller pad, and it took a bit of feeling around to find the right spot for it to press that didn't get in the way of sitting down (for example). The lower belt that holds the pad firm to your abdomen slides along the back, loops around the front, then pulls back and fastens to itself. Its a decent design, don't get it too tight or it binds. You need it tight enough to keep the bottom pulled back. Obviously, lay on your back and fit it when everything's 'flat' so you're not mashing anything. It should feel 'right' but by all means get a professional opinion if you need one (or your insurance covers it). It took me 4 weeks to see my primary care physician so this definitely helped get me by until I got his official approval. The waist band is very sturdy, my wife commented on how nice and strong it was, it's (as shown in the picture) several inches and fully velcro on the fastening side with a rubbery inner side that sort of grabs what you're wearing. The picture also shows that having underpants with a little leg helps keep the strap off your skin and does seem to make it wear a bit more comfortably.

Hilarious Hernia
The package was open and the belt was used, so I am using a belt that rubbed up against someone else’s crotch. Besides this nice inconvenience, the belt is great for temporary relief of symptoms for an inguinal hernia, whether on your left or right. It has a detachable thick compression pad and a built-in memory foam pad. And it has non-slip strips, so it won’t take your pants down and you won’t look like a gangster that sags. There are two adjustable straps, one for the groin and one for the waist, and the belt will fit most body sizes. If you are morbidly obese, it probably won’t work. I suggest wearing this from the time you are diagnosed by a medical professional to the time of surgery. This provides temporary relief; it is not a permanent solution like surgery. You will probably have to urinate more because of the pressure this belt applies to your bladder. And, if you use the thick pad, you will appear as though you have an erection. The ladies will love it!

Works Well At A Reasonable Price
I have a rather large inguinal hernia and have surgery scheduled. I needed a hernia belt to keep it from becoming incarcerated while I wait. The belt is well made and works to keep the bulge to a minimum. I found that wearing the belt against my skin created irritations. After some experimentation I found that wearing the belt over my shirt worked best. It’s a little tricky to get right but once tightened the belt stays in place and the irritation is gone. While the belt is washable it must be washed by hand and air dried. Overall, I believe it’s a quality product for its purpose. As for “comfort” I have gotten used to it and the bulge in my pants. I found the best positioning for the belt to be effective and not irritating for me. Actually, there are time when I forget that I’m wearing it. I am using the L/XL version and have lots of extra belt. The Velcro grips very well. My best advice is experiment with it to find the best position that is both effective and comfortable. It’s been a 5 star experience for me as a first time user.

Durable and effective
I have been wearing this for 12 weeks. Although nobody wants to have to wear one of these things, this truss is comfortable and effective. The belt is wide and sturdy and the Velcro has remained strong. Most of the photographs show it being used over undershorts. I find it much more effective and convenient to wear the belt over a T-shirt or undershirt. Excellent product.

operates well
OK, but the belt is difficult to connect. Possibly I ordered a unit that is too big. the thin velcro strap that goes between your leg always gets tangled with the belt as you put it on with the velcro getting tangled to the belt.

I got the Abdomencares Inguinal Hernia Belt (Size L/XL, fits hip circumference 111–139 cm) for my dad, and it has made a big difference. The belt provides targeted compression for both left and right inguinal hernias, using two pressure pads—one low-profile for discreet everyday wear and one higher compression for stronger at-home support. It’s fully adjustable, non-slip, and made of breathable cotton-spandex, so it stays comfortable throughout the day. My dad can wear it under clothes without anyone noticing, and it helps relieve discomfort while supporting recovery pre- or post-surgery. Highly recommended for anyone needing reliable hernia support.

I’ve switched to this hernia belt for about a week, and it has been a noticeable improvement compared to the belt I was using before. After trying several options, this one provides better comfort, support, and adjustability, and I’ve now fully switched to using this instead of my old one. The targeted compression works very well. The included pads help apply pressure exactly where it’s needed, which helps keep the hernia supported and reduces discomfort throughout the day. I appreciate that there are two different pads included—one lower-profile pad that’s great when wearing the belt outside the house, and a larger pad that provides stronger support when relaxing at home. The overall fit is also much better than my previous belt. The adjustable straps allow it to be customized easily, and it stays securely in place without constantly shifting or riding up. The silicone grip strips help keep everything stable when walking or moving around. Another thing I like is that it can be worn for either left or right side hernias. That flexibility makes it a very practical design. The material feels breathable and comfortable against the skin, so it can be worn under clothing without being too noticeable. Having two belts included in the pack is also a nice bonus, especially for rotating between washes. What I like: - noticeably better support than my previous hernia belt - targeted compression that helps reduce discomfort - two different pressure pads for different levels of support - adjustable design for a customized fit - stays in place well without sliding, see my last pic for the wavy grippy lining inside the belt - breathable material that’s comfortable to wear - two belts in a pack Opportunities: - nothing really, everything in the right "spot" Overall, this hernia support belt has been a significant upgrade for me compared to the one I was using before. The comfort, adjustability, and targeted support make a real difference, and I’ve now switched to using this one full-time. It’s a well-designed product that provides reliable support throughout the day.

I was reluctant to order a hernia belt because I had read that they can do more harm than good, and that you should talk to your doctor first… which I did. He assured me that I would likely benefit from one though he confirmed they can be problematic. For example, one of the problems that can occur is when a protruding hernia is strangulated by the belt, cutting off blood supply, in which case immediate medical help is required. In any event I decided to buy this belt a couple of weeks ago, as it just looked more robust than the ones at my local health care stores and other online sites. My hips measure 44 inches, which is the cut-off between the smaller and larger size; I went with L/XL and it fits well. The first day I put the belt on I couldn’t believe how great I felt, almost felt like I could enter a weight lifting competition and do a triathlon – having never done either in my life. The next day, and a couple of days since, I wasn’t quite as lucky as I needed to make a few adjustments to make the belt comfortable. As at least one reviewer mentioned, the belt edges can be very uncomfortable when in direct contact with your skin, rather than being cushioned by underwear (boxers are best). Most of the time I’ve been using the thinner compression pad and when I get the belt adjusted right I barely notice it, though I still take the belt off when watching TV and other less than strenuous activities. When it comes to more demanding work I feel more confident with the thicker compression pad – hopefully not over confident.

It is very comfortable to wear and keeps my husband's hernia in place. This is the reason I bought it for him. He is waiting for an operation so until then this will help him work as near normal as possible.

⭐ Overall Impression After going through all the feedback available online and evaluating the product myself, I feel this hernia belt sits in that interesting middle ground: not premium medical‑grade, but definitely more thoughtfully designed than the cheap $20–$30 trusses. The 2‑pack is genuinely useful — I didn’t expect to appreciate it as much as I did — because it lets me wash one while still having continuous support. For a condition where consistency matters, that’s a real advantage. That said, $61 feels a bit high, especially since the materials are closer to mid‑range rather than premium. You’re paying for the convenience of the 2‑pack and the dual‑pad design more than for luxury construction. 🧵 Durability Assessment Based on aggregated user reviews + my own evaluation: 👍 What holds up well • The elastic straps feel sturdy, not flimsy or overly stretchy. • The Velcro is strong, and doesn’t peel off during movement. • The compression pads are firm, and don’t flatten out quickly. • Stitching is clean and consistent — no loose threads or weak seams. 👎 Where durability could be better • The elastic can loosen slightly after several months of daily use. • Velcro can collect lint (common with all trusses). • The pads are durable but not medical‑grade; long‑term users report needing replacements after heavy use. Overall durability: solid for everyday support, but not built like a $100+ medical brace. 💵 Price Evaluation — $61 CAD Here’s where I had mixed feelings. ✔️ What justifies the price • You get two belts, which is genuinely practical. • The dual‑pad design allows left, right, or bilateral support. • It’s more comfortable and adjustable than the cheapest trusses. ✖️ What makes it feel slightly overpriced • Materials are mid‑range, not premium. • Competitors in the $40–$50 range offer similar support with one belt. • The 2‑pack is convenient, but the per‑unit cost is still higher than expected. Value rating: 7.5/10 — good functionality, but the price feels a touch high for the materials. 🧩 Fit & Comfort This is where the belt performs better than expected. ✔️ Comfortable enough for daily wear • The straps don’t dig into the skin. • The pads sit securely without shifting. • Breathable fabric helps reduce sweating. ✔️ Adjustability is excellent • Works for left, right, or both sides. • Easy to tighten or loosen throughout the day. • Doesn’t bulk up under clothing. ✖️ Potential issues • If you’re between sizes, the S/M can feel snug. • Not ideal for very active movement (running, heavy lifting). • Some users report mild rubbing if worn directly on skin. 🧱 Support Performance ✔️ Effective for: • Inguinal hernias (left or right) • Mild to moderate discomfort • Daily support during walking, standing, or light activity ✖️ Not ideal for: • Large or advanced hernias • Heavy lifting • High‑intensity movement • People needing medical‑grade compression 🧠 Final Verdict (First‑Person Summary) After reviewing everything and trying it myself, I feel this is a practical, well‑designed hernia belt that does exactly what it promises. The 2‑pack is a real advantage — being able to wash one while wearing the other makes daily support much easier and more hygienic. The only drawback is the price, which feels slightly high for the materials used. But if you value comfort, adjustability, and the convenience of having two belts, it’s a solid choice.
