OXO Good Grips Kitchen & Herb Scissors

They open wide to allow you to separate the blades for cleaning which is handy. No need for a blade cover as these scissors click together and stay closed until needed. Rust resistant stainless steel and a good quality, what you would expect from the OXO brand. Recommended

I bought these because they come apart and are easy to clean. I can use them to cut meat knowing I'll be able to easily separate the two blades for proper cleaning. There sharp, well made and work great.

Fantastic scissors. Brilliant design that can be completely disassembled to put in the dishwasher. I also use them for dress making. Sturdy, sharp excellent.

A good price for generaly good quality kitchen scissors. The blades are sharp and cut through most fish fins and skin but did struggle with the frills on a couple of dover sole I was preparing. The blades twisted apart so I had to nibble away a bit at a time. The blades did spring back to the correct shape. They'd be 10/10 if the blades were a little thicker to resist this twisting. Handy that the blades separate for cleaning but I suspect this contributes to the issue noted above.

Somehow these feel a lot better than relying on a large pair of traditional scissors. Comfortable grip. Sturdy. Easy to wash. Very satisfying and versatile for cutting in kitchen (and occasionally whatever else needs cutting).

18 months on, functions as good as new, lovely and sharp and a breeze to clean. I’m a total oxo nerd. I’m one of those people that loves staying loyal to a brand when I know it’s worthy. OXO just make good quality home/kitchen utensils that work, really well and last. Any leftie (I don’t mean political views) will know how difficult it is to find a decent pair of scissor you can use. I am so pleased with these scissors which arrived today. Bought them to cut up my dehydrated sheets of soup to make blending them into a powder quicker and easier. Cut through the soup sheets no problem at all into little pieces. Now going to have happy blending sessions.

Bought a series of can openers over the years. Most were OK but none of them great. Then I stumbled on some made by Oxo. "Why not?" says I? "Good name. I'll give 'em a go." What a difference. Easy to use and comfortable in my old pensioners hands. They were like night and day compared to their predecessors. Now I'm in the market for kitchen scissors. The old pairs were ok but were beginning to age. Not as good as they used to be and hadn't lasted very long either. "Does Oxo do kitchen scissors? I ask myself. "Yes they do!" I hear someone say. "Well, are they any good?" "Yes, they are" And they really are. Tough, aesthetically pleasant on the eye and they do what kitchen scissors are supposed to do. They look as if they'll last and I like the way they come apart to clean 'em. Thanks Oxo. Another winner from my perspective. Oh.. And I like your cubes too! 🤣😂

Let me make this very clear. These scissors have been absolutely amazing. My wife uses them for just about everything, and they cut through food, herbs, packaging, and cardboard like butter. One of the best features is that the blades come apart, making them much easier to clean thoroughly. That is especially useful when using them with food because you can clean between every surface instead of worrying about anything getting trapped near the hinge. They feel sturdy, stay sharp, and are comfortable to use. For the price, you really cannot go wrong with these. They are easily the best kitchen scissors we have ever owned.
