Golden Gac 900 Fabric Painting Medium-8Oz

Great stuff.

Essential if painting acrylics onto textiles… particularly if you are going to sew into them. This helps the keep the fabric softer and easier to work with.

I had a stash of acrylic paints and needed to dye some fabric. I could have used the paint as is cos the textiles weren't going to be washed or worn, BUT - it does leave the fabric a little stiff and I wanted to stitch into it. So - GAC900 gave it a try. Easy to use - just add 50% to your paint - rolled it onto my gelli plate and worked really well. Took over 24 hours to dry though, but after heat setting (with an iron) the fabric was really pliable and a pleasure to sew into.

Just got this a few days ago so only tried it out a couple of times but seems to be working. I love that if you don’t water it down , you don’t get bleeding.

I used the product to print off my Gelli plate around paper hawthorn leaves,, to make a plaque celebrating my son's wedding, which was then free machine embroidered. Using this product the fabric stayed soft and easy to stitch, following ironing.

I'm starting up a business and have been using this to mix with my acrylic paints. I have used it on canvas shoes, denim and cotton and it works fantasically, a little goes a long way as it thins down the paints quite alot.

Great stuff! Used with some good quality acrylics to paint a banner for my husbands mancave and it's came out lovely and vibrant but still flexible. Definitely recommended, don't use it with cheap acrylics though, they just won't show up as good, invest in some good paints with high pigment levels in for best results!

This leaves the fabric soft and can be stitched through, delighted

this stuff is great! It takes all of the guests work out of mixing up paint for fabric so in my opinion is totally worth the money. I painted the jacket I'm showing here at least six years ago now and I've washed it tons of times. Still holding up great! (a little bit of cracking on the moon part of the design because I painted and repainted that spot a bunch of times so the paint's thicker than it should be) I generally mix half-and-half with cheap acrylic paint for fine line work. I add more if I want a batter paint or get a "watercolor look."

Excellent product which enables you to make fabric paint out of basically any acrylic paint! Doesn't seem to affect the color (I have used Schmicke Akademie acrylics). Has a some what an odor but if you're not working in a teeny tiny room with no ventilation the odor should not be a problem.
