Are these cartridges recycleable?

This is not a 'cartridge'. It is a charger holder for use with vintage BOC/Sparklets soda syphons.

What kind of co2 cartridges does it take? I bought iSi Soda Syphon Cartridges and they are slightly too large for my sparklets siphon bulb holder

As best I recall I got mine from Wilkinsons Hardware Stores. Or it could have been eBay. The ones I have are "MOSA Syphon Chargers". You have to bear in mind that this is for the earlier versions of the soda syphon with the Imperial thread rather than the later metric. Are you inserting them through the large slot in the side or through the threads at the bottom? Only the former works.

Are these just for the 8g size of will it work for 12g

This product only works with BOC/Spaklets syphons as described in the listing. There are no soda syphons that use 12g CO2 chargers.

Perfect! (For my vintage Globemaster)

Perfect fit. It is plastic. You are srewing on to metal. Mine is perfectly machined. So if you find that it is particulary firm to screw on .....then start again! The other end is designed to remove the plastic interior tubes. So all in all a good buy for me.
