Does this remove shellac?

Yes it does. I buff over my nails with a nail file/emery board, then soak them for around 10-15 minutes. It then scrapes the shellac off easily.

Does it remove acrylic nails?

Yes it takes an hour but it does work on acrylics great product

How does this work to remove gel polish? Is it effective? There are mixed reviews about it.

This really amazing and effective, you pour a little in a small dish or tray and leave your nail to soak for a few minutes and they you can scrape them off really easy with Cuticle Pusher Scraper Fingernails Polish Gel Remover with ease, not loads in it, but its the best stuff out there i have used, so you only need to use a little each time, hope this helps.

How do I use this to remove gel nails please? Do I soak my nails in this?

I got instructions from Google - worked brilliantly. Put cuticle oil on to prevent drying before removal. Cover each nail with a small piece of cotton wool soaked in the acetone and wrap each nail in a small piece of tin foil. Leave for 10 mins and then remove with a stainless steel metal nail cuticle pusher scraper polish gel remover manicure which I got three for on Amazon - £1.49. No damage to nails and the manicurist said I did a great job. Much cheaper than having it removed in a salon
