Fabulous.
I orginally brought one lot to try under my kitchen cupboards to give the kitchen som under light on worktops. Wow, these really are a great buy, so much so i brought another 7, to go all round the kitchen, i had to buy seperate as my cupboards are spaced apart. Not only do these really make my kitchen look beautiful, they are also dimmers, so you can hae them at any brightness you want. Super easy to install, just peal back and stick (on clean dry surface) then i just stuck the dimmer switch to the wall. I can honestly say we dont need the big ceiling light on now. For me these were just what i wanted and am so pleased with them. It was also handly that they were in this lengh to , as i think if they had been longer it would have been to much, much better for the small areas. I would recommend deffaitnly. Wish i had got another one for my sons bedroom now.

Easy to use, good lighting.
Overview: Nice warm white lighting with no LEDs not working. Easy to use and a very worthwhile purchase. Disclaimer: I don’t know what I’m doing, I really don’t! I’m not a decorator or electrician. Hopefully if you don’t know what you’re doing either, then this review helps! Postage and Packaging: Its Prime, so delivery was quick as always. Packaged nicely and once opened out had all the required components to complete the job. Installation: As per the video, I wired this up to replace previous spotlights under the cupboards. This meant installing sockets first (I used this BG ELS134B 4-Gang Permaplug if you are doing something similar). Once the plugs are in, I extended the wiring down and then connected to the “tail-end” of the strip. You can apply power to either end, so this worked perfectly. Applying the strip was as simple as peeling away the backing and sticking down. The adhesive strip seems strong enough. Yes, the tape isn’t heavy and therefore shouldn’t fall off - but I’ve bought enough where it does so its always worth stating. Now its all applied its worth summing up the following: • Checked before installing and after. All LEDS remain lit. • Described as Warm White and it is - I’ve tried to get the photos to show a realistic reproduction. 4100K temperature gave the best result. • The tape was easy to cut, and easy to connect with the included connectors. • Using the connectors takes a little ..finesse. They are tight, which is good as the connection will last, but they are definitely tight! • The adhesive on the tape is easy to use, and has stayed so far. I have no reason to believe it will fail. • The tape is also flexible enough to fit into, and around, corners. • Lighting is nice and even. • There is no sound from the transformer plug, and no undue warmth. • Slight delay on start of one set of lights against the other. Longevity: I think that the lights will last. The biggest risk is that LEDs start failing. I can’t say how likely this is, but will be keeping a close eye out for this and will edit this review if it happens. Given how easy it is to attach connectors though, you can always cut out a strip and replace.

Will not disappoint.
Wanted to spruce up the living room plus the bedroom and this did the job splendidly. You're able to control the light intensity at 5% increments with the preset option at 25%, 50% and 100%. The living room pic was at 100% and the bedroom pic was at 25% for comparison. You're also able to set it at strobe and control the speed setting. But unless you want to induce an epileptic fit, I don't think anyone would use this function much. Simply peel the back for the sticky tape and you can cut it at the designated line for your required length. Only have two minor qualms about this product: 1) The LED lights has roughly 10 cm of connection before it connects to the remote control receiver. When I attached it in the bedroom- the weight of the remote control receiver (plus the wire for the DC) pulled the LED lights away from the wall. Had to use a fair bit of blue tack for the receiver and double sided tape to keep the LED attached. Wish the connection pre-receiver was longer and slimmer so I can hide it all or at least make it less conspicuous. 2) One remote control can control more than one unit. Since my bedroom is next to the living room, one remote has the potential to affect both LED lights. It's not too bad if it happens 100% of the time- but if I close one door (either the living room or the bedroom door), it will affect one and not the other and can therefore throw it off sync. i.e pressing the power button will switch one unit on and the other off. You get use to it and learn to point carefully as well as making sure the door is close. Easily remedied if there is an option to set the frequency of one controller to a specific light(s). Note: You can attach the unused LED light strip with a separate power supply, transformer and LED strip connector (all bought separately) to make another unit- but probably easier to just buy a new set with all the accessories included.

Really impressed
This is a brilliant product at a really good price. I have used almost the full 5 metres - one long piece to go around the top of a wardrobe and then 3 smaller pieces to go inside and light up when the doors are opened (you need the LED motion switches, which are sold separately, but make sure you get ones that are compatible with the 5050 series LED). It is easy to cut. If, like me, you cut it into a number of strips, then you will need some more connectors of the right type (5050 compatible, 5mm wide I think), but they are cheap and quickly delivered from Amazon. Make sure you watch the vid on YouTube so you understand how to fix the connectors to the strip correctly, otherwise the air will be blue and you will waste LED strip. You have to cut it in the right place, then cut through and STRIP AWAY THE PLASTIC TOP COATING TO EXPOSE THE CONTACTS then make sure you have the +ve side of the strip to the +ve side of the connector, then slide the strip into the connector, put the cap over and snap it in place - it works! This kit comes with a radio transmitter and in-line plug in receiver, so you can control the lights from anywhere in the room. There are different modes, although I only use the 100%, 75% and 25% switches. The flashing light modes will drive you crazy. You can power the (in my case 4) cut strips from the one transformer if you are useful with some simple cable connectors and a bit of 2-core cable from your local DIY. Cheap as chips. Works a treat. Really impressed and would recommend it for wardrobes - probably really good for kitchens too. I'm not so sure I would trust it to work outside as I suspect the connectors would not be waterproof. If you could keep the transformer dry and the connectors, chances are it could work outside - its only 12V outlet.

This little kit is a winner!
7.5W of LED strip that you can cut and rejoin easily for under £15 all inclusive. Pretty good if it works. Two joining clips and a clip to DC plug link were included. The far end of the strip has two wires soldered onto it. This makes splitting the strip into two particularly easy. I cut the strip, attached the clip/lead link to the cut end of the first LED portion, cut the DC plug off the lead to access the 12V wire, attached 3 meters of low voltage wire to it with standard connectors, attached the end of that wire to the existing wires on the end of the LED strip and ended up with LED's under the units on both sides of the kitchen (after negotiating a 3 meter route behind the cooker hood) The unit even comes with a little wand which turns it on/off and selects 100% / 50% / 25% intensity as desired. For parties, etc you can select them flashing (!) As it happens, I preferred 50% but sometimes use 100% if I'm doing detailed work under the lights. The colour temperature is 3000K, the same as the ceiling LED downlights. The 6000K lights would look blue in most kitchens, I should imagine. The transformer is plugged onto a socket behind the toaster out of sight. The wand is wireless operated and works two rooms away through two walls! I tried - I'm like that. It's very small (8cm) and discrete and contains a battery which will cost pence to replace when the time comes. The photos show the kitchen with no lights and at the three light intensities. The job took an hour or two but would have been far quicker if I hadn't been using one kit for both sides of the kitchen with all that meandering 3 meters to deal with. The LED strips have very sticky backing which looks to stay that way, though I'll be careful not to expose it to kettle steam or toaster heat. I used a few dozen cable clips to secure the wiring firmly - I should imagine the weight of the wire would pull the strip away at the end sooner or later. It's not often I write a review, but I've made the effort this time. It's still working, by the way

Broke after 7 months
So annoying having to write this review and only give 3 stars overall when actually the product itself is amazing. It’s amazingly bright and has an adjustable remote where you can dim the light up and down. It’s all round amazing but the thing that ruins it ALL, is that 4 lights at the bottom of my mirror (see photo) have stopped working which ruins the whole product. It means I’m gonna have to take the lights down as it looks very odd and ruins the whole display- and what’s worse is, I’m not entitled to a refund or a new set to be sent to me because I’ve had them 7 months. I don’t know about any of you guys, but I’d expect a set of lights like these to last more than 7 months, especially when they are self-adhered to my mirror now which means I’m gonna have to peel them all off. Not happy at all and amazon said they had a “sufficient life span” when I explained I hadn’t even had them a year... so what I would say is yes they’re a good set of lights and very bright, but only buy if you’re prepared to replace every half a year. Wouldn’t be so bad if I was sent a new set but that’s not the case. Disappointed :-(.
