Simple to replace and just like the original
These are just like the original earpads on our HD600 headphones which saw great use over 15+ years (until the foam disintegrated). Hopefully these will last longer than the original pads! As anyone who trusts their own ears (vs marketers) knows - these are great headphones and in my opinion, one of the best ways to get audiophile quality sound on a budget (versus paying thousands for similar quality sound in big box speakers)! The earpads were quite simple to replace. After you gently pull off and dispose of the old pads and ensure no old foam particles are left in the speakers, put the flat foam disk in place first and then gently press the earpad into the groove (over the flat foam disk) until it snaps into place. Then press gently all they way around the groove to ensure it is fully snapped into place. It's that simple! The earpads hold the flat foam in place. It would be great if Sennheiser would sell these for less money - but they do the job and are much cheaper than a new set of headphones if a new set isn't necessary.

Beware imitations!
Obviously overpriced, but also essential. Gives your headphones a new lease of life- you'll be surprised how you didn't notice how woolly the bass had become as the pads compressed. Everything is so much snappier with boxfresh new pads. Yes, they cost too much, but don't bother with third party clones. From experience, they're never as good. Grit your teeth and pay for the real thing. Even at this silly price, totally worth it.

Nice but expensive
Perfect fit for HD650, very comfortable but also very expensive for what they are.

Expensive, yes. But the only real choice.
I adore the HD600. Anyone who owns them will tell you how neutral, tambre and what a fantastic treble extension they have. As I love them, and listen to a LOT of music, my pads flatten rather quickly. I get about 3-4 months of usage out of them, at maybe an average of 90 hours a month. That is probably about 400 hours before I replace. In this time, they flatten to perhaps half of their thickness (likely not helped by my thick plastic glasses pushing on them). While it is true you won't notice much of a degradation in sound due to it being subtle over time, what I can say is that you WILL notice it after replacing. The low end becomes much less wooly, and more punchy. And the highs are more airy. Now granted, I am probably more picky than most and a real audiophile, but at moderate to heavy usage, I really can't see how people last over year without replacing. They absolutely lose a deal of sound quality, and comfort. The price? Frankly, it's a joke. And is commonly referred to as the 'Sennhesier tax' by audiophiles. The HD600 are VERY good value for their sound quality, but once you factor in two or three sets of pads a year to get the most of them, you are looking at well over £1500 for ten years use. I wish there was a company out there that would do a 1:1 copy of these at a good price (likely easy to do, and cost of materials is £5 at most) but as of yet, there's no good alternative and anyone serious about audio will tell you to not touch third party pads with a bargepole. Yes, they're a ripoff. But they will restore your beloved HD600's and are the only real option.

Perfect! A genuine product does not disappoint!
I bought these to replace the original pads - I assume they’d lost their shape due to being attached to the previous owners fat head. These are genuine Sennheiser pads. I’m very satisfied. Considering the state of the original pads my HD660S are still in practically new condition, so with these replacement pads they look and feel brand new again. The price reflects the quality and comfort. Don’t disappoint yourself with cheap replicas.

Hear we go again, another ripoff, but have no choice
Sennheiser parts department, ripping off the audiophile since 1945... Well to be honest Sennheiser make marvellous audio equipment, my HD 600 headphones, used for everything really including some music are a joy to use. But really these overpriced pieces of foam and fabric are eye waveringly expensive for what they actually are, but as others have said, the market for these 'consumables' is rigged top to bottom so will just have to stump up and buy another set.

I have owned my HD600's for about 39 months and they get an enormous amount of use. This is the second pair of these wonderful headphones I have owned, the first pair being shortly after they were first introduced to the market back in the 90's. Back then I was working a second shift job and at some point while I was away my autistic son who was just a toddler got his meat hooks on them and for whatever reason he placed them inside the dishwasher. Of course my wife had no idea and they got a bath. End of those! So years later I decided to give the 600's another listen and I typically listen to them 4-5 hours daily. Recently the pads got a cleaning of sorts just using my fingers and a slightly damp cloth, but I noticed that the pads were beginning to deteriorate just a little bit and I wanted to replace them. They were still serviceable but in all honesty they were getting a bit flat. A bit smashed. I saw a number of options for replacement and I read the reviews which mentioned how other products changed the sound signature or were hot or not deep enough so I decided to go the OEM route and I would suggest you do the same. Replacing the cups is really straight forward; just gently grab the top/bottom and sides and tug gently. Remove the cup and inner foam and the replacements drop right in. Give a gentle push and they will clip on and remain firmly in place until you need to remove them again. So here's my opinion. They feel like brand new headphones minus the new headphone clamping. I didn't get a sense of renewed clamping at all. My ears sit inside as they had before, the pads are just comfortable as can be and they look like brand new once again. Same sound.signature They may seem to be a bit pricey but they are absolutely worth the money if you love your Sennheiser cans. Highly recommended.
