Great for pictures
I mainly purchased this for documents, which this works great on any and all documents. I'm able to have documents signed by my clients and then upload them when I get back to my office so I can upload them in our system. More recently, I started using this for pictures. Whether I'm using this for paper documents or pictures, the scanned quality looks amazing and is always clear! Not to mention, the size of this scanner makes it so easy to store this in my bag without taking up a lot of space. Plus, it hardly weighs anything. This scanner is so easy to use and for the quality of scans that I get, this scanner is definitely worth what I paid for!

Great for documents and receipts - quick and easy!
I purchased this nifty scanner because I was always relying on my husband to take my documents and scan for me, since I don’t have my own scanner. It was so easy to set up and start using and worked really well when scanning my documents. I haven’t tried to use it with photos, but that’s not what I bought it for. It is especially helpful when I need to scan documents that I sign to someone or receipts for health reimbursement or other things.

Low quality, Leaves streaks, You get what you pay for.
Cheap and very low quality. Not ideal for photos. I bought this to scan a bunch of old photos to my computer. The image quality is horrible and leaves streaks across the final image. You get what you pay for. Might be ok for paper documents.

Not that great
Very mediocre results. Only real benefit is portability, but honestly I get better looking results taking a picture with my phone.

Easy to use, very portable, great for documents, mediocre for photos
I bought this to take with me on a cross-country trip where I would be scanning documents and photos.*** Be sure to perform the white balance calibration *** See the instructions on the included card. It's very easy to use and is a simple design, which is what I was looking for. I also like how it stores the scanned files locally, on a MicroSD card, and appears like any USB thumb drive to my Linux laptop, so I didn't have to worry about OS compatibility.Image quality is sufficient for documents, but not great for photos. The white balance calibration helps get the colors and brightness to be acceptable, but sharpness is lacking in the photos. I had to do some post-scanning processing using GIMP to adjust brightness and improve quality a bit.Overall, given the price, this meets my expectations, and I would purchase it again if I had to do it over.

Useful device to have; instructions could be better
This seems to work well if you have reasonable expectations. Don't expect great results on wrinkled sheets of paper. Try scanning book pages sideways to avoid the binding. It comes with a 14.5 GB microSD card. I haven't scanned anything yet that exceeded 1 MB, so I doubt that I'll need to upgrade the memory. A few additions to the instructions:1. Use a magnifying glass to read the LED screen.2. Use a paper clip to press the time set button.3. To calibrate the scanner, press the JPEG/PDF button, then the SCAN button; don't press both at the same time.4. Have more patience than I did waiting for the red light and the green light to go out.5. After you connect the USB cable to your computer, press the SCAN button to have the scanner recognized.

Wouldn't recommend for photos
Bought this with the intention of using it to scan photos to upload to my computer. Quality of scan was inconsistent. Some photos came out fine and others came out dark. Scanner would work great for documents but wouldn't recommend for photos.
