Very Impressed!
Impressed with this telescope given how little it costs. It seems nice and robust and easy to set up.Viewed the moon tonight and saw nice detail of it's craters. Nice and sharp views. First time ever using a proper telescope so was mightily pleased with what we saw.Bought a couple of extra bits to use with the telescope after doing a bit of research at time of purchase:Purchased a 3x Barlow lens from Ebay for £5 (I believe it is a Bresser lens) and this made a noticable difference to how close up we could see and didn't appear to affect quality. We'll be using this all the time I think and hoping this will help get a good view of saturn or jupiter. Also bought the moon filter which made viewing a little easier on the eye (moon is very bright otherwise).

Great as a first telescope
We wanted a starter telescope for our family and I'm glad we chose this one. It's a good price, the wide angle view finder lense is a huge plus - you see a lot of sky, unlike the 10mm lense which gives you incredible detail once you've found what you want to look at. It's easy to use and children wouldn't find it difficult. The telescope is basic but it feels robust. It's lightweight, to pans and tilts and it's easy to focus. It's small enough to be easily portable.Definitely worth considering before you commit to a more expensive telescope.

Great little telescope
This is a lovely little telescope to get you started with astronomy. We bought it for our 11 year old and found it easy to set up and use. Being a table-top scope, it's easy to move around and no fiddling around with a tripod. We have no stargazing experieance at all so was recommended this one from a local shop and found it slightly cheaper on Amazon. We have seen the moon and it's craters and Jupiter and it's moons so far so have been suitably impressed! We would recommend this scope for beginners as it is reasonably priced but still powerful enough to start off with.

Amateur beginners telescope.
Product arrived on time and was packaged well. The mount is very easy to use and is very stable. The finderscope comes in handy and can be adjusted. There are two lenses provided which are at a basic level. I have noticed that the magnification for the initial lens disrupts the final image quality by a vast amount, nevertheless for the price paid the 'scope is pretty nice looking and easy to store. If you want a better scope than this 3" then be prepared to spend more than £250.

Ideal Inspirational Gift
Absolutely ideal starter telescope for a 5 year old granddaughter who is doing a Space Project on Tim Peake at school. The 'scope is sturdy and very well made. The two lenses that it comes with are ideal to observe the Moon in very good detail and even Jupiters moons can just about be made out. The eye piece takes a standard 1.25" possel so I can put some of my Meade lenses in for higher magnification viewing. It's small enough for her to use easily and can be placed on a table so adults can have a go too. It will fit in a rucksack too for excursions. My granddaughter is thrilled with it and I am sure it will provide years of service.Highly recommended

An Excellent Introduction to Astronomy
I have a number of astronomical telescopes used for both visual and astrophotography. I bought the 'Heritage 76' for my 8 year old nephew, who had shown an (obsessive!) interest in the planets and night sky. He was delighted with the scope which was easy to set up, and ideal for him to use on his own (with help navigating the skies). It has helped him understand not only the sky better, but also optics, mirrors, distances etc. Others have mentioned the need for a sturdy surface to operate the scope from - we found a patio table to be ideal. The detail of the moon is incredible for such a small item. (Especially if better eyepieces are used than those supplied). I would thoroughly recommend this as an introduction to astronomy.
