Good quality wood for reasonable price
Good quality product, so easy to assemble. The wood is so thick and good quality!

It works
The good: I have several compost bins, including hot bins and rotary bins. This one despite its simplicity has worked very well, it is quite large and it has produced compost quickly. This is the second one I've bought and I have no doubt it'll function just as well as the first one. The bad: it has become the norm nowadays that when you order something, you end up spending too much time poring over illegible instructions trying to assemble a product with bags of nuts and bolts. In this case they haven't even bothered, there are no instructions, nor have they included the screws you need (30 or so 30mm screws). Assembling is not difficult but it'll take about an hour if you include the time needed to find some photos or a video. Overall 3 stars, 5 for the product, 0 for the assembly and not including screws.

Good bin at a reasonable price.
I was surprised at the good quality of this bin, strong timber and pressure treated too, not bad at this price. It was easy to slot together, mallet required, and only one slot p broke away when fitting, so can be glued back on. No screws supplied, so 4 stars. I started as per instructions by fitting the first row, then CLAMPED the uprights,, and screwed the first slats. DONT use the slats as a gauge, just sight each one and clamp then screw. The gaps do vary but are all smaller than a slat, could be why some are saying the uprights are too short. With care this goes together well, and looks as though it will last.

Poor quality and impossible to get parts to replace the damaged bits
Product deliver with 7 pieces of the wood damaged no fixing screws or instructions on how to put together. Have asked for replacement parts but not an option only thing I can do is return the product?? Have been asked to package up and take to a post office, the thing needs a sack barrow to move so that’s an impossible request.

Good product and prompt delivery
this was ordered on Tuesday and arrived Thursday, it arrived in a bundle securely banded with the ends protected with cling film, being timber it's not practical for it to be boxed or wrapped, the packet of screws were inside the wrapping. I unwrapped it on arrival to let it dry out and found no damage to the wood, there are no instructions but you only need to look at a picture of it to work out how it goes together. All in all well pleased with the product and delivery, will buy again when I am ready for another one.

Very nice, very large
I ordered one and was so impressed I ordered two more. Easy to assemble, robust enough, very large and not expensive.

A few downsides but not all bad
This is a good size, and is good value for money, but I've experienced many of the problems that other reviewers have faced: most of the notches were too narrow so some of the ends broke off as I assembled it; much of the wood arrived with defects and edges broken off; the vertical support was too short (it could be that I assembled it wrong, but I did use a slat as a spacer as per the instructions). Also the vertical supports weren't pre-drilled, and as wood was very wet and green, it really gummed up my countersink bit as I drilled the pilot holes. All that aside, however, I'm mostly pleased with my purchase and like the way the finished product looks, but as you basically just receive a package of planks and screws I'd recommend that you're relatively handy and comfortable with a drill if thinking of purchasing.

Good Solid Bin
As a very experienced gardener I reckon this is the best commercial compost bin I have seen. * The wood is thick enough - too many bins are flimsy and rot through within a couple of years. These are proper thick planks. * It is easy to assemble. Two bins took me half an hour each (would have been faster but it was in an awkward space). * It is large enough (the extra-large size). Most bins are far too small. * The spaces between slats mean a lot of air will get in. This will mean getting a decent temperature to kill weed seedlings will be hard (hence 4 not 5 stars), but it does mean the compost is unlikely to get too wet and anaerobic. * The price is very reasonable compared to most bins. The wood and time to make one from scratch would cost almost as much. Instructions are included and worth reading through before you start but it is easy enough. You need a drill, because for some reason the side supports are not pre-drilled for the screws. A hammer or mallet is also useful because the joints are a tight fit. Other reviews have complained the wood was wet but both my packs were well wrapped and perfectly dry. I've put mine on breeze-blocks because having the wood in direct contact with the ground would make it rot faster. The flat base also makes assembly much easier.

Komposter naja
