Great for learning recorder at school
My daughter wanted to learn recorder at school and this is the book they use. I haven't heard anything bad about it. Ours came with a CD, but I understand that not all of the books do (despite the fact that it says it does on the cover) so double check the listing when you buy.

Ready Steady recorder by Sarah Watts
This is an excellent book for really young beginners, to provide extra repertoire, which is fun to perform. It goes at a slower pace than the red hot recorder book, and provides more material for playing just a few notes.

Enjoyable and easy to use
Sarah Watts pupil books are wonderful and once again this book is fantastic! Pupils love moving through the notes with these energetic pieces! It has a very clear layout and is great fun to use!

THERE'S NO CD ENCLOSED WITH THE BOOK! (You have to digitally download it now apparently)
Where's my audio CD? I ordered this precisely because it said there was a CD with it, so where is it? As an extra comment I have just read in small print on a sticker that has been added onto the book that you have to digitally download the CD now instead of receiving an actual CD. I think that this should be pointed out more so people know when they are buying the book. To be honest though I don't think a CD would have helped me play the recorder too much - but I will keep trying!
