Works straight out of the box. The battery is already installed, so no setting up. Pull the little pin out of the alarm and a 140dbs wave of ear splitting noise booms out. The pin won’t come out until you pull on it with a small bit of force, so it won’t go off in your car/bag/pocket. It has a little torch built into it, bit like a key torch. It can also be mounted on a wall/door. Just a bit of a warning, cover the alarm with your hand when you test it or wear earplugs because it’s very loud. I would recommend 👍

I bought this because I often work on my own and worry about my safety when out and about. The first thing that I did when it came was to test how loud it is. To set it off, you pull out the pin on the top. The light on the side flashes when it is set off. The noise was loud and ear piercing and uncomfortable on the hearing. I’m very pleased with this product and now feel a lot safer.

This is a easy to use and extremely loud personal alarm, that is certainly going to alert people in your proximity that there is a problem should it be used. It comes in a plastic box with a small light. It is rather bulky and the quality is not excellent, but it should prove robust enough for purpose. The 'Sold Secure' label is a generic Police hall mark of items that have been tested by them, also used for windows & door locks. and other security devices - so is a valid commendation.
