Philips LED Classic 3.5 W GU10 Glass LED Spot Light (Replacement for 35 W Halogen Spot) - Warm White

I have just installed these to replace eight halogens in my kitchen and six in my converted garage. I tried one at first along side the good quality halogens that give a lovely warm light and there was no difference, even the wife said there was no difference. So I swapped them all over and am very pleased with the quality of light- very bright and warm. I've had led spots in the past and vowed that i would never use them again because of the awful light given off - they made our kitchen look green and people in the room look very unwell.

It has very good luminosity, much better than other Chinese bulbs that promise you more lumens but in the end they break quickly, flicker, etc. At the moment they don't give me a headache. The light is neutral, it may be a little more yellow than some but in my case I have gotten used to it and I think it is the best.

It’s a lightbulb, so does what it’s meant to do

Being a Philips branded bulb these are very good quality but I did think they were a little overpriced. Had to buy this pair of bulbs as I had to replace a total of 22 50w halogen bulbs in a house we have just moved into. I was able to get a good deal on a two boxes of 10 but needed another two so got these so in compassion they were a bit overpriced even for the name brand. They are of course being LED and under 5w vastly superior in energy efficiency when compared to the halogens that were using 90% more power so really a no brainer swapping over to LEDs but for spotlights LEDs are also much safer as they produce less than half of the heat of halogens. Unfortunately I learnt that the hard way as one of our downlighters running a halogen bulb actually went on fire due to the 200 degrees centigrade plus heat.... also didn't help that the previous owner had 22 50 w bulbs running of a single 5 amp fuse that was actually a pre-blown fuse that he had wrapped the outside of it with thick solid core wire.... but that's another story. So as I say the LEDs are much safer in this respect. I cannot speak in regards to longevity of these particular LED bulbs but the LED bulbs in general will last a long time. The light produced is bright but not a stark white a nice warm white that is pleasant.

Bought these to replace inefficient halogen spot lights that came with extractor hood fan setup in my kitchen above the hob. The previous halogen bulbs were complete energy leeches and ran too hot, you could feel the heat they gave off more than a feet away. These new Philips LED bulbs give out the same amount of light for a fraction of the power usage and its practically a straight swap without the huge energy bill and heat output. Highly recommend.

Very bright for its power input. I used it as a light for my back garden to illuminate my houses rear entrance at night and it more than does the job. At 3.5 watts it doesn’t consume much electricity at all yet gives plenty of light. Given it’s made by Philips who are renowned for their lighting products, I expect it to last for a long time. Got a double pack for a good price, so good value to money in my opinion. Good purchase

Excellent quality LED, look good, and the light tone and quality is excellent. So many LEDs out there have only the virtues of energy-and-cost saving as a plus point - I have been consistently disappointed with the quality of light they produce. Not these! I don't know how they compare with 50W Halogen, but in my kitchen they are every bit as bright as the 35W halogen bulbs in the adjoining dining room - I hope these are around when I eventually to switch from Halogen to LED elsewhere throughout the house.

"Up to" 15000 hours. One of mine failed after two years of maybe 1/2 hour per day, well under 1000 hours. Failure mode is that it starts flashing intermittently.

leider geben die Philips LED ein leises Fiepen (Dauerton) von sich. Daher für uns im Wohnbereich nicht einsetzbar. Haben die LED's aber trotzdem behalten (da günstiger Preis über Amazon WHD) und im Keller in Betrieb genommen. Da hält man sich nicht so lange auf und der Keller wird gut ausgeleuchtet.

Ho acquistato 4 faretti come questo per un lampadario della mia camera da letto. Il brand Philips nei prodotti legati all'illuminazione domestica è da ritenersi uno standard per la qualità della fabbricazione e della durata dei loro prodotti. La potenza della luce emessa è molto buona, e permette di illuminare molto bene la stanza. Un validissimo sostituto ai classici faretti alogeni; essendo a led diminuiranno sicuramente il consumo energetico e la temperatura erogata, garantendo però le stesse prestazioni in termini di luminosità. Normalmente però questo tipo di faretto tende a perdere sempre più potenza negli anni, quindi vedremo se con il tempo succederà. Consiglio il prodotto come scritto nel titolo per l'illuminazione di camere da letto e soggiorni, in quanto in questi casi la luce calda che viene emessa, darà una buona impressione di accoglienza all'ambiente.

Ho preso questo faretto led per test in quanto avevo già acquistato di Philiphs il faretto "cugino" da 5.5w. Da una ricerca in rete questo risulta essere quello di nuova generazione con una maggiore efficenza energetica che porta a risparmiare un watt per faretto. Sembra poco, ma in una casa, in un locale, in un negozio fa una certa differenza. Anche qui non posso che confermare l'ottima qualità, la luce perfettamente identica per temperatura ai faretti alogeni, l'identico arco di apertura. Rispetto alle 5.5W si accendono dopo 0.5 secondi (non riuscite a notarlo con le 5.5 si con queste), ma francamente è un particolare cosi insignificante che se aggiungete che costano anche meno delle 5.5w, saprete perfettamente cosa scegliere.

Il faretto doveva rimpiazzare un faretto tradizionale. Luminosità ok. Colore ok. Durata non saprei, non è ancora bruciato.. non sono prodotti a buon mercato, specialmente se si sta su questo brand. Ma già alla vista la qualità sembra molto buona.

Hallo zusammen, vorab: absolute Kaufempfehlung! > sehr guter Abstrahlwinkel und Ausleuchtung > sehr warmes Licht, kaum Untrschiede zu normalen Halogenlampen > sind heller als normale 50 W Halogenlampen Ich habe in meiner Wohnung eigentlich nur Spots mit einer gu10 Fassung, im Bad die in die Decke eingelassen Spots mit einer gu5.3 Fassung. In Summe machen das 21 Spots. Da die natürlich ordentlich Strom fressen bei 50 Watt pro Spot, bin ich auch auf den zeitgemäßen LED Zug aufgesprungen. Ich habe dabei so gut wie alle Modelle durch, die auch einen erschwinglichen Preis haben (<5€ pro Lampe): IKEA, Poco, Melitec (Aldi), Liflight und diverse andere Modelle von anderen Anbietern hier auf Amazon. Und alle sind wieder rausgeflogen. Teils war das Licht so kaltweiß trotz 2.700 K, dass man das Gefühl hatte in einem OP zu frühstücken. Auch wirklich gelbes Licht war dabei und Lampen, die wirklichkeinen Lichtkegel, sondern eher einen Lichtzylinder hatten! Mit dieser Serie bin ich absolut zufrieden. Man sieht einen Unterschied zu herkömmlichen Halogenlampen. Sehr warmes Licht, schön hell und damit absolut zufrieden. Lieben Gruß Nils
