Copper Foil Tape (1/2-inch x 33 FT) with Double-Sided Conductive Adhesive for Guitar & EMI Shielding,Stained Glass Making,Electrical Repairs,Paper Circuits,Soldering,Grounding,DIY Copper Tape

I hesitantly got this 1/2 inch version for some laptop grounding work to eliminate static electricity issues. The laptops are bigger inside than you think -- the 1/2 inch is perfect. When you ground the foil to a screw, it will probably still work but the 1/4 inch could easily break or twist making a mess. I used two 3 inch strips in the laptop. The other 32.5 ft. will last a LONG time.One small note: ease of use is a 4, not 5, because it's very difficult to pull the protective plastic sheath from the sticky side on the foil. You need a very thin knife edge to flip up a corner of the plastic, then all the rest of the plastic just pulls right off. I note this difficulty of use is inherent in any foil tape and this tape was probably easier to pull off than many others. The second strip was much easier than the first. If you use it frequently this protective plastic is probably not an issue. Good luck but remember to turn the power off or disconnect the battery before using this foil!

It is copper. It is very conductive as copper is known to be time. Will tell not a bad purchase. I’d recommend if you need it.

I never knew they made copper foil tape, I work at a food factory and they have requirements on the type of pens we can use for handwriting, such as the ink has to have metal in it or the pen body has to be made of metal so it can be picked up by a metal detector, with this the pens I use can be coated in this copper foil tape passing that requirement.Just make sure the surface of what you're taping is cleaned off, no debris then apply it.A week later after going through the abuse most pens encounter in a industry setting, the tape seems to be staying on great.

Worked very good as RF shielding. I love the fact that it is real copper and solder adheres to it just like a clean circuit board. This enables you to seal the seams with solder and ground the shielding all around. Easy to work with used it to shield a highly sensitive RF coupler with no leakage even at 1kw. So I have to say this stuff is the greatest.

I purchased this item to use when soldering my broken china pieces that I make. This copper tape worked just as it should. Will continue purchasing!!

This copper tape is very thin. It tears easily.
