KitchenCraft Wall Can Crusher with Beer Bottle Opener, Metal, Black/White

I was a little nervous about ordering this item because of the reviews but I wanted to reduce the bulk that cans can create so that they could be collected for recycling. I have used this item for crushing lightweight lager cans on a daily basis since 29th January 2009 (6 weeks) and find it an excellent device. You do need to attach it to a strong surface though. I do not think the handle is flimsy as previously suggested.

Incredibly poor build quality. I put this on the wall less than 2 weeks ago and it’s broken already. Average daily use was about 5 or 6 cans a day, mostly coke cans. Needed greasing with butter on the third day as it kept getting stuck. The arms on the handle bent within the first week, they need to be made of a thicker, stronger metal. They weren’t much stronger than the cans that they were meant to be crushing. The rivets were already loose too and they snapped today. Also needs a rubber mat on the bottom plate because the cans fly off as you depress the handle. I might buy another ( but definitely a different make or manufacturer ) as it’s a good idea and saved on the bin bags. Do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for a better quality product.

This crusher is a replacement i bought along time ago, this new crusher seems to be a lot stronger the arms are thicker, my only thought is why is there such a large hole on the top plate to crush a can it is nearly as big as the diameter of the top of the can ,(in pic it doesn't hole ) but yes overall a far better product

Would be great but half way through crushing cans the can slides out. Have to hold can in place while crushing makes it unsafe to use to to very shape edges on the can.

when something is sold as heavy duty you tend to believe it is above average. Sadly this product did not live up to its description. I had to fit longer screws as the ones supplied would never have coped with what I thought was a 'heavy duty can crusher'. When I had drained my first can I placed the empty can with great ceremony between the jaws of the crusher. Pulling down on the lever the can shot out.I tried this twice before realising that I had to hold the tin in place whilst pulling the lever. As I did this the arms on the lever bent. Biggest waste of money - but one of the perils of internet shopping I guess.

This can crusher worked really well for about a day, then started to struggle. Once you've crushed a can and want to pull the handle back up it gets wedged because the rivets holding the crushing plate onto the handle are quite loose. It still works but you have to help it along with your other hand. I think it was pretty cheap though.

the general construction of the product is poor... dents and not smooth operation. the screws supplied are also weak and the screw heads have rounded out or sheared off entirely - very rubbish. the can crusher is not smooth to operate, the side rails are dented and when pushing cans down, often jams and gets stuck mid operation.

Quite boring really , we live in Cyprus and sent for two can crushers (we were unable to order the wall mounted bottle opener for some reason which we would still like to purchase) We are delighted with the can crushers (not a lot of recycling here) they reduce are rubbish somewaht but perhaps more importantly they are a big talking point for our barbeque guests (of all ages) Think you you may be getting more orders. Big plus was that you sent them here to us so quickly straight to the door, wonder why you couldnt send the wall mounted bottleopeners. Never mind the Can Crushers are a big hit Many thanks

I bought this particular model thinking that it would be robust and work well. I certainly got a surprise. After a week of use the unit started jamming when trying to return it to the, at rest, position. After three weeks the handle came apart. It is now wall art in my storage room until I take it down and throw it away. Sorely disappointed!!

dopo aver schiacciato circa 30 di lattine i perni delle cerniere hanno preso gioco e adesso non sale e scende in modo fluido bisogna cccompagnarlo sempre, dovrò metterci le mani per sistemarlo. Bastava usare perni pieni invece che rivetti vuoti
