Q: Has anyone used this for stirring Pottery glazes?

I doubt if it would work. Think the glaze might be too thick. Tried it to mix blue cheese & cream cheese for a dip but it didn't work. Fantastic for pancake or waffle mix along with any other kind of thinner ingredients. Love this thing.

Q: Does it stand upright on its own?

The whisk does not stand up on its own. It does store nicely in a utensil holder with the handle inserted down and the beater up.

Q: Can you use it to mix hot drinks or soups?

Yes I would think so! I beat eggs and batters. It's a handy tool when you don't want to get out a big mixer. I use mine all the time.
