Best high-end budget sander on the market
THis is a great sander for various reasons. First of all the price is right. This is clearly modeled after the Mirka sander, but it is only a fraction of the cost. For the price you get lots of versatility: Variable speeds, 5 or 6" sanding capacity, Crazy long power cord for sanding while using your neighbor's power. The Form factor makes this a gem to use as it is easy and fits in your palm. It is a little on the heavy side, but it is lighter than my old sander, so I cannot complain. The dust collection, when hooked to my shop vac is perfect!A note about the company: Their customer service was great. I had an issue and everything was taken care of. The sander was shutting off at times: after some back and forth, The item was replaced.I have since bought another one for a friend as a gift. Grab this if you are on a budget.

Very pleased with this sander for metal prep and body work
I picked up this sander to save on having to run the air compressor for smaller sanding jobs where I'd normally use a 3M DA sander. I am someone who has a lot of tools, more so than most any sane person needs, and normally stick to the name brands out there. I can count on one hand how many power tools I have that are from a lesser known manufacturer. WIth that said, when I received this sander, opened it up, and inspected it, I was pretty darn pleased with the quality. About the only thing that isn't super high quality is the dust extraction hose, but I kind of expected that. At least it came with a hose. I had a project where I was refinishing a Turbo Chef oven, and thought this sander would be perfect for that project. Wow is all I can really say. It's super quiet at speeds 3 and below, and very smooth. I love that it has the paddle like a normal air DA sander, and it worked flawlessly. I did use dust extraction hooked to a small Shopvac using an additiona 10' hose, and the dust extraction was decent.I ran this sander for a couple hours while I prepped various parts and it was a pleasure to use. I'm glad I saved a few bucks and went with this sander, and will be putting it through another much larger project for an automotive refininishing job coming up soon. Based on how it performed for me during my most recent project, I'm fully confident it will do a great job.If you're looking for a good alternative to a DA sander and don't mind the cord, this is a great option.

They don't last long.
This looks great and runs great but soon dies after the 90 return policy. The first one I bought lasted two months and I gave it the benefit of the doute and replaced it. First its slows down and speeds up and the switch quits working properly and next it has no power at all. The insides are inferior which is to bad, more junk from over seas.

Great, versatile sander
I love that it has both a 5 and 6 inch sanding head. Compared to Rigid sander this one replaced, it vibrates so much less than my old one which helps eliminate swirling. It's also much faster and had no issue bogging down even on broad end grain. The dust collection pretty good, it was very convenient that it came with it's own hose to hook up to the shop vac. I have noticed a bit of dust build-up around where the sanding head attached to the sander itself, but this might be because I only have it connected to a shop vac with a dust separator and not a higher end dust extractor or dust collector.I've had this sander for about a week, it's gotten a solid 10 hours of use on cherry, plastic and epoxy and I love it so far with no real complaints. The only thing I would consider even a slight complaint is the provided sand paper hardly lasted a few minutes before all of the grit rubbed off of it, but that's not even something worth considering overall.

So far, So Good
I bought this sander after watching a ton of YouTube videos about it. I have an inflammatory disease that causes extreme pain in my hands, so I bought this to help. It really has very low vibration and helps to avoid "the tingles" felt after long sanding sessions. You really could operate it by holding a pencil eraser-side-down on it.That stated, my expectations may have been too high, because I was expecting it to work like magic after the videos I watched. It's not a bad sander; it just didn't cut through stock like I saw on some of the videos. It sands down at about the same rate as my regular, cheap orbital sander. I was also concerned about longevity, so I paid for the 4 year extended warranty plan.So all-in-all:Pros:- Very, very low vibration- Comfortable to use- No problems with swirl/squiggle marks on your work- Adjustable speed settings- The dust hose works surprisingly wellCons:- Pricey- The dust hose connector does not fit my small or large shop vacs or dust collectorAll in all I'm going to keep it. But I would not make a purchase this pricey without the extended warranty.

Great sander... terrible sanding pad
Great sander...comfortable and love the power settings. UNFORTUNATELY the Velcro sanding pad wore out very fast and will not hold sand paper. I have had other name brand sanders for years and never had this problem.

Excellent value
I love this sander! I've only ever used low end sanders- super top heavy, insane vibration, barely any dust collection. I can't compare this to something like a festool, but short of a robotic arm to do the sanding for me, I can't think of anything else I'd want or need.I got this during Prime day sale, and I'm delighted about the value- performance vs cost, you really can't go wrong with this.Dust collection is excellent- I barely noticed any with my shop vac hooked up. It's well balanced so the dust hose doesn't yank it off the table when you put it down. It's comfortable in my hand and I barely notice the vibration. The noise is well below that of my shop vac. I've only done some small projects so far, but if I had to do hours of sanding I don't think it would be all that bad now. This item came with only the 6" head for a slightly lower cost; the 5" head can be purchased separately and the cost works out the same to buying it all in one set. The sanding discs that came with it weren't bad, seemed to dull quickly, but all together I had a beautifully smooth finish with no pigtails. If you're on the fence about the maxXT I say- Do it! I think you'll be pleased.

Nice piece of kit
A recent job was sanding and refinishing 12 scaffold board tables for a wedding venue. I started off with my Makita 125mm orbital and immediately realised it was going to take months. I researched orbital sanders and found that what I needed was an aggressive 5.0mm orbit with a low profile handle for comfort. Mirka was the go to tool but its price was prohibitive. The Maxxt had all good reviews and seemed to fit the bill at a good price. When it came I set it up with 80 grit mesh and attached a Trend shop vac. This is what I found:1. So, so quiet.2. So comfortable. I did a 6 hour stint and I was a little tired but non of that tingly vibration thing that aches your wrist and weakens your grip.3. About 95% less dust than my old sander.4. Clears through the wax varnish and stain to the bare wood in a quarter of the time.5. It still produced a super fine finish when I put a 180 grit mesh on to finish. So, one of my better purchases and nothing disappointing about it. I would advise you use the mesh type sanding discs with it, they last and you don’t have to bother trying to line up the holes in the pad. It almost makes sanding fun. Almost.

Glad i opted for this over the double the price 3m unit
Medium to low works really well, low vibration for the wrists, ultra quiet with good dust extraction. Using it for the the cut before buff of my classic car paint job. Low speed is very effective. high speed i don't think i would ever use... to loud and vibraty. The hose end is smaller odd ball size requiring electrical tape to shop vac hose. Hose adapter would make it more easily switchable for other vac accessories.

Veramente ottima
