A brilliant multi function camera that actually works reliably
I have tested a good number of cameras for use on the back of my caravan so I can see how much traffic there is behind and if some one is about to overtake. I have tested wired camera systems WIFI and digital wireless cameras and this is by far the best value for money and most versatile in its range of features. This camera is very well made consisting of a metal body and is waterproof in terms of shower proof. One of the great things I love about this camera is that it is simple to setup as a direct connect device so I just have to log on to the cameras WIFI code in my 8 inch tablet or mobile phone WIFI settings them connect via the free app and your are soon able to look at what is happening at the rear of the caravan. By the way the rechargable internal battery lasts for a good 7 hours after a full charge. The camera has a host of other features that I love.

My reversing/travelling eye.
This camera was bought having seen it in operation. Setting up was easy and the quality of both the manufacture and the resulting picture was excellent. I intend to use this camera not only as a reversing aid but as a travelling aid for overtaking etc. Because of this and the fact my caravan is made of fibre glass I have manufactured a bracket to attach to the pull handle of the caravan. I was hoping that the magnetic hold would be strong enough to stay in place during a journey but on simple testing I have decided to use the screw holes to ensure that I still have a camera attached at the end of my journey. Overall I'm pleased with the camera and I'm certain that it will be a conversation piece at my next touring site.

Great and very portable love it !
Just tested out the EsiCam and really think it's good I have not had the chance to test the batt life yet but the build is solid and the magnet is strong. I tested it out with a quick drive and it never moved.Customer service was great emailed me to say it was on route which was great. The picture quality I found is really good but not tested it at night yet the EsiCam is just a nice weight and size feels like a quality built item. So as of this moment I would recommend this item for it ease to use, quick set up and portability.

Terrific little camera!
We haven't actually had a chance to use this camping yet, but we did a "driveway test" and it worked perfectly. It's pretty easy to connect to the unit WIFI with our iphone once the app is installed. The picture is clear, and being able to switch it R to L and turn it up-side-down is really great. It seems to have no trouble at all sending the signal around our travel trailer. We will be using this both as a help in hitching the trailer and in backing it into camping sites.I'd actually rather not have a rear view camera for traveling down the road since I can't do anything about what is going on behind me anyway. I'm afraid it would just make me nervous. So we won't be testing it while driving. But for hitching and backing up, this is going to work very well. It came a lot faster than they predicted, so that was nice too. And if you have done comparisons, this is less expensive and requires NO WIRING at all! It works off a charge. This has all the features we wanted.

So far, so good. Camera seems to work good.
I was very hesitant to order this camera, which I wanted to mount on the back of my trailer being towed behind the motorhome. All these products (cameras and transmitters) claim to be the best and the descriptions claim great range and perfect picture. The real life outcome is a lot different. I have tried several transmitter/receiver combos. They all failed to perform. Being a Prime member, I was able to return all of them for a full refund. Now, this camera ... the included manual was not easy to follow but I did get it to work on my iPhone and iPad, eventually. My test ground is my 45 feet motorhome behind which I tow a 25 feet trailer.I had my wife hold the iPhone inside the RV and watch the video while I began walking away from the RV. I pointed the camera at things that would help me to judge the distance from the RV. It must have been better than 100 feet before the video froze on the screen. The interesting thing was that the video feed continued when I started to walk back towards the RV.So I think this may be the first wireless rear view camera worth its money. I guess, walking away a good distance from the RV and having a video stream is as good as mounting the camera on the back of the trailer. The result should be the same over 70 feet to the end of the trailer.Complaints? The only 2 items I want to critisize is (1) the incorrect description of the range. It says wireless transmission distance 50-100m/ 150ft. That would mean 164 feet (50 meters) to 328 feet (100 meters). The claimed range in feet is barely half of what the seller claims in meters. The other item (2) is the claim that the camera is waterproof. That may well be as long as the charging cable is not connected. But if this is supposed to be an RV/trailer/truck rearview camera, then it means it is very likely installed permanently and at a height where you need a ladder to get to the camera. Therefore, it needs to be hard wired to have a constant connection to power. Using the power plug inserted into the back of the camera breaks that waterproof seal and chances are good, water will intrude and ruin the camera. There are workarounds for that but I should not have to pay extra money for a solution which should be part of the camera when it is sold as described in the listing and for the money it sells for.

No remote power switch!
Camera is well made and it works. So why one star? It is advertised as being usable for an RV Trailer. However, it has a physical power button - it can not be switched on remotely, and it does not turn on when power is applied. Using it as a backup camera for an RV is not practical if I have to get out a step ladder, climb up and switch it on every time I need to back up.

Packaging and shipping were great, faulty camera functions is not a reflection on ...
Returned, battery DOA would not take charge, tried charging for 48 hrs. Packaging and shipping were great, faulty camera functions is not a reflection on seller. For mobile use no ( dead battery ) but plugged into AC power I did have wifi reception on iPad for 100' even out of sight around a building in between devices. My goal was to use as backup camera for truck and 5th wheel. I can not verify the reception inside cab of truck at that distance. I would not discourage any one for trying this camera for their application, it is well built, image was very satisfactory for it's size.

Beware of the battery life of this product.
I bought this item from Amazon in May knowing that I would be taking a trip in July with my travel trailer. At first everything went well. I was able to use it to hitch the trailer to the truck and had a decent picture while riding with the camera on the back of the camper. The Esicam boasts of the battery lasting 7 hours on a charge. My first charge after leaving home lasted less than 3 hours. I recharged the camera and used it only to hitch the camper. This worked for 3 hookups. On the fourth use after a full charge the camera would not update the picture. It was locked on the cell phone screen with the image taken when the camera was turned on. I assumed it needed another charge so I charged it overnight. When I tried to use it the next morning just to hook up the camper to the truck the battery acted like it was OK but would not continue to send out the WIFI signal to my cell phone. Initially I really thought this was going to be a great buy and talked to several people about how well the camera worked as well as the price being affordable. However, now I am totally soured by the entire purchase. I cannot get my money back from Amazon as it has been well over 30 days since my purchase. I can only hope that the manufacturer will fix the battery issue.Update:The manufacturer has sent me a replacement camera and I haven't had a chance to try it yet. However, I would like to commend the company for sending me this replacement as that is a good sign that customer satisfaction is important to them. I will update my post again when I have a chance to try the new camera and hopefully, this one works properly.
