Pro-Ject nailed it! Love it!
I was in the market to try and replace an old vintage Kenwood turntable. In recent months I’ve had turntables from Rega P6, MoFi Studio Deck, Fluance, Music Hall 5.3, Technics 1500, 1210, 100, as well as a few other Pro-jects. Some were defective. Some were too buggy. Some sounded pretty average or below what you’d expect for this price. The Technics was by far the biggest disappointment. Maybe the ones I tried were bunion a Monday. Anyway. I really wanted a removable headshell and auto stop/lift as part of the features but they were not requirements. Sound quality was first priority. I have a Pro-Ject Tube S2 pre amp, Sonos and Denon amps, and Dali Oberon 5 floor speakers. And over 1000 records of all genres. Mostly rock, folk, and jazz. This turntable beat out all the others and it actually won pretty easily. I was dubious of the “DJ” style cart at first and so ordered a AT 95SH to replace it. Well. I have sent the Audio Technica cart and headshell back because this cart with this table works beautifully. I was expecting a strident thin sound and it was definitely not that. A rich full smooth sound with great definition and soundstage. Not as layered as the shibata…but it made up for it in other qualities with a punchy bass and musicality. So impressed. I really love the looks of it and I don’t care that it doesn’t have auto lift like the Technics and Fluance I looked at. This thing is a bargain for the price. It has aluminum sub platter, a ten inch tone arm, high end precision made parts, and it’s also really really cool looking. Give it a try.

Great sound & high quality
The PRO-ject turntable is excellent. The sound is great with the included cartridge. The Product quality is very good, and far superior to the equivalent REGA player. I recommend this turntable without hesitation.

An unbelievably overpriced piece of JUNK !
This turntable is right there in line with a $39 Crosley suitcase , just wearing a slightly better facade. This turntable was THE biggest disappointment so far this year.Just a total piece of crap.

Excellent and easy to set up
I bought a turntable before and had a hard time with set up, this one couldn’t be easier! It plays incredibly well and looks gorgeous. No skipping and no humming, this is definitely worth the price.

Nice minimal setup
I don't know much about turntables, but this seemed like it was a nice one to start off with. Quality looks great, plays nice, no "frills" except maybe a carbon fiber arm.

Great Sound, Smooth Operation
The initial setup is a little touchy, the counter weight isn't threaded, so it takes a light touch to get it right. The little measurement scale they give you works fine though so in the end, you do get a good balance. The anti-skate setup is flimsy, it's just a weight suspended from a piece of fishing line. It also works fine though. The most important thing though is that the sound of this turntable with this cartridge is terrific. The supplied RCA cables are very good quality and there's a nice attached ground wire. Overall, I would recommend this turntable to a friend.

Definite upgrade
Wanted to upgrade my TT. Picked this up and the difference between this and the debut besides the price is obvious and I would recommend this if you are looking for an upgrade around the $1200 range. I also love the look and feel. Now I have to listen to all my Vinyl all over again but it sounds like it will be worth it.
