Jamie Oliver JB8500 Potato Masher with Silicone Scraper, 1 - Pack

Having bent potato mashers many times over the years (I'm not a strongman, the design of mashers is usually sub-par), this is the best masher I've ever used. The varying sized holes results in a smooth, creamy mash and the silicone handle can be tapped on the side of your saucepan to shake off the potato without denting it. There's even a silicone curved edge on one side which you can use to 'clean' the inside of the saucepan to move all the mash to the bottom, it's the little touches. Buy this product if you like mashed potato and want to keep your saucepans dent free. 100% recommend.

The handle is part of the masher , its not a cheap push on construction which parts after continuose use . The steel is incredibly ridgid with no flexing whatsoever . Its going to last a very long time . As the old saying goes ......you only get what you pay for

I absolutely can not find a single fault with this excellent masher. I had a masher for many years which needed replacing, 2 years down the line with a box full of mashers which did not, in one way or another make the grade. This beautifully designed masheruper ticked off every box and some more….. we love the traditional texture that can only be achieved by mashing by hand with an old fashioned masher. I really can not recommend it highly enough. Thank you Jamie!

A very strong masher that does a great job of mashing spuds. Very pleased with my purchase. I would by another if ever needed. But doubt i will need.

Now the second one in the family, as we made this a gift to my dad who loves making his mash. As we do, he finds this very efficient at the job, he's in his 80s (and pretty fussy!) and says it mashes spuds better than the traditional metal one's, it's also easier to clean mash from. Would definitely recommend even though it's a bit more pricey.

Im not normally a fan of Jamie's cooking kit as I think it tends to be over priced, but this is actually a good product. So many mashers on the market have gone for form over function, and hence they look smart, but they actually dont mash potatoes very well and leave lumps. This looks smart and is a bit larger than I would like, but at least it mashes potatoes to give a nice smooth mash!

So far, so good. My husband seems to take charge with the potato masher (bit like the BBQ). It is a good thing, but does mean we have gone through about 4 mashers in the last two years. Which I consider a lot! This feels very sturdy and able to take a manly mashing for the foreseeable future!

Perfect - does what it should no drama - quite expensive but definitely feels like a quality product. 2 years on and still works just as good as it ever did - We don't put in the dishwasher so may be part of the reason it has survived so well but really lives up to the quality feelings I had 2 years ago.

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen und positiven Rezensionen habe ich mir diesen Kartoffelstampfer vor kurzem angeschafft und bin absolut zufrieden! ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Verarbeitung und Ergonomie: --------------------------- Der Stampfer ist sehr massiv und fehlerfrei verarbeitet - da verbiegt sich nichts beim Stampfen. Dadurch, dass er - anders als manch fehlkonstruierter, Billig-Stampfer - beidseitig abgestützt ist, kann er sich nicht verbiegen. Habe auch einen 0815-Stampfer zu Hause, der nur einseitig abgestützt ist (L-förmig) und sich nach jedem Runterdrücken verbiegt und zurückgebogen werden muss. Er sieht zudem sehr modern und hochwertig aus. Der etwas gebogene Griff liegt einwandfrei in der Hand - Kein Verrenken der Hände oder Schmerzen nach dem Stampfen. Gebrauch und Reinigung: ----------------------- Der Stampfer gleitet förmlich durch die Kartoffeln hindurch wie durch Butter - mehr kann man hier nicht groß sagen. Dabei bleibt die Hand gut am Griff, aufgrund seiner ergonomischen Form und des rutschfesten Gummies. Der integrierte Topfausscharber ist dabei sehr praktisch! Die Reinigung erfolgt problemlos in der Spülmaschine. Fazit: ------ Für diesen - meiner Meinung nach sehr günstigen - Preis erhält man hier ein durchdachtes, massives und einwandfrei verarbeitetes, frustfreies Produkt. Questo attrezzo da cucina l'ho comprato online perchè in Italia è molto difficile anzi impossibile trovarlo nei negozi di casalinghi. Sembra che noi il purè non lo facciamo!! Nei negozi ci sono quelli a pressione (tipo schiacciaolive per intenderci) e non mi trovo comoda. E' molto resistente un pò pesantino ma fa il suo lavoro. Ottimo anche se comunque avrei voluto spendere meno di 18 euro per uno schiacciapatate, ma è in acciaio e non di plastica che avrebbe poca vita.

Genial, lo uso con patatas y con otros tipos de verduras y frutas a los que quiero dejar machacados pero con algo de grumos y darles asi algo de textura. Es manejable, de buen material y con pinta de ser muy duradero. Una compra excelente...

Tiens très bien en main avec son revêtement anti dérapant. Un écrasé ou une purée réalisés en 2 temps 3 mouvements. Très satisfait comme sur tout les ustensiles estampillés Jamie Oliver.
