Does the job and works fine with my existing Makita G series batteries
Does the job and works fine with my existing Makita G series batteries. However, its a bit annoying manufactures have multiple types of batteries because when I need something else that isn't in the G series, I'm likely to look at other brands as I'd have to buy a new battery anyway.

Battery not compatible
Ordered Makita so I could use the same battery I have for my drill.....you guessed battery not compatible so a new battery and charger adds about £40. WORKS is much better value.

Cordless bare jigsaw makita compatible
I don’t often need a jigsaw (having table/mitre/band saws) but it seemed the answer for fitting flooring plywood. It comes with a few general purpose blades but I needed a finer blade for thin plywood. There are no frills provided eg guides. It works ok - appears to be rugged enough.

Need to be clearer on battery type
Bought on the understanding this is an lxt battery powered jigsaw however it’s a different battery !!!!Luckily I have those batteries already otherwise I’d be returning this with a poor review!!

lxt batterys dont fit
a decent quality looking jigsaw, unfortunatley didnt get a chance to try it out as it uses its own battery and charger. i have 18v lxt makita tools and the batterys dont fit the g series makita 18v tools.seems a strange decision by makita to not make these compatible with the lxt batterys.
