A joy to hold and to use this well made good looking pen. I fitted the cartridge supplied with it and within seconds I was able to write with an ease which surprised me. It is like writing with silk it is so smooth. Well done to the craftsmen who made and designed it.

Writes beautifully & is a superior pen to many that cost far more. This is, moreover, an excellent company.

I now have two of these, black and burgundy. Consistency between them speaks volumes for the workmanship and hand ground nibs. My preference for the burgundy over black is simply the colour. They are by far my favourite pens - forget the Mont Blancs, Watermans, Parkers, Montegrappas and all the other well known names - tried them, bought them but now selling them again, they just can't compete with this Italix.Plenty of heft, writes like a dream and gorgeous to just look at or hold. What a terrible shame that we'll almost certainly lose the brand when Mr Pen retires late this year or early next.There is really nothing to dislike about them... I have left one vertically for 3 months, picked it up and it writes first time, incredible.If I was going to complain about anything it would be the feed. This feed can keep up with very fast writing with a very wide nib that lays down huge amounts of ink - but illegible due to the combination of line width and my handwriting. Why complain? Just that it verges on being too wet - if you fill it with a very wet ink it lays down too much ink.Absolutely marvellous pens - grab one (or two) while they are still available...

Very quickly delivered, a beautiful fountain pen in deep red lacquer over the brass barrel and an engine engraved chromed cap. Everything fits together as it should. It looks fabulous, but not flash. The stub nib writes perfectly and is what my handwriting has been waiting for. It is a bit heavy but then that much should be obvious from reviews and by virtue of what it is. If you like fountain pens you should consider this one. The quality is there and it's very good value.
