Works great
Great product for a great price. I have 3 sheep and it does overheat quickly but I’m no pro so I usually take break between sheep (I take awhile so I think the overheating is user error)

Great budget shears
You can't beat it for the price. I've sheared 10 sheep so far and it works fine. I've been sure to follow the instructions and clean it well after every use. I don't expect the shears to perform like the outrageously priced competition but they get the job done just fine. They do run hot but keep a bucket of cold water handy and it'll be fine.

Worked great, a little heavy for extended use.

Shear a Doodle
Shears worked great! I have a Golden doodle with fur as thick as a sheep and Matt’s at times. This allowed me to cut thru easily. Noise level was mild and didn’t bother my dog. Only down side is the weight of the shear. And would like to have comb attachment that wouldn’t cut as close to skinHighly recommend this tool

for big dog if you are using it for dog hair
I bought it for one of my dog, the hair type is just too thick for normal trimmer to even work. the cut is good and does thick coat like how its designed to do, however, if you have a small dog anything less than 40 lbs, it will be a challenge to use due to the width of this thing. the cutter makes loud sound, for dogs that are scared of the trimmer will not work.i review this from a dog owner perspective, dont have a sheep to test.

One use
Used it the first time on my golden retriever and it was great. Used it a second time and it broke. A grear inside broke and I had to order a replacement part that will hopefully fix it. Buyer beware

Good Sheep Shears, Not So Good Dog Clippers
I didn't buy this for shearing sheep. I've done that, and this is a decent set of clippers for the money. However, I bought this to shear a dog that has weird hair. So weird, it'll kill any normal dog grooming clippers. Went through five Wahl clippers in nothing flat. They'd dull down like I was cutting sandpaper with them. These probably shouldn't be used on dogs, unless you really know what you're doing, because you can cut the dog's skin. I didn't want to detract from their rating, because they are pretty good quality sheep shears. If I still had woolly sheep, I would've totally pleased with them. As it was, I wound up buying another more dog oriented style, and they worked better than anything ever has. So, in retrospect: Wahl sucks, these should be used on sheep, and you should look at the kind that don't look like regular barber's clippers. While these definitely cut hair that's difficult. They're a little dangerous for a dog, especially where your dog's back leg meets the body, and the knee area.
