Simple to use, amazing results.
Not only does this Water Flosser make flossing that much more likely to happen by almost turning it into a novelty (I actually enjoy watching it flush all the bits of food out from between my teeth), but it also does a significantly better job than I've ever managed with string floss.Since I've started using this I no longer use string floss, my gums no longer bleed whilst flossing, and the amount of detritus that it washes out from between my teeth is genuinely staggering.I've also been to the dentist since having this and they asked if anything had changed in my tooth care regime as the difference between then and the previous visit was so significant. After I've used this my teeth feel clean in the same way they do after a hygienist visit. As a note on usage, I've found that rotating the adaptors on the top of the flosser section (of which there are multiple adaptors included - I've not used them all but all that I have used are useful) makes it much easier to hit every location. My dentist also advised that this should be used before brushing your teeth as to avoid washing away the tooth paste which helps to protect them. There is a 10 step power setting as well which allows you to adjust the pressure of the water jet being used, for me the sweet spot has been at pressure setting 8.5/5 would recommend to essentially everyone.

The best Christmas present I could have asked for.
I was looking for something to replace plastic floss... And then found this! The Waterpik is one of those products people often assume is a gimmick, until they actually use it. It's very effective and he adjustable pressure settings make it easy to start gentle and increase as needed, which is great for sensitive gums. It’s simple to use once you get the hang of it, and the large water reservoir allows for a full flossing session without constant refilling. It does take up some counter space (or you can keep it in a drawer like I do) and makes a bit of noise, but neither is a deal-breaker.I personally love it, and my husband—who was convinced it was just a gimmick—is very impressed as well. After only a couple of uses, he’s already noticed his plaque looks significantly better.Overall, it’s a practical and effective upgrade to brushing that makes flossing easier and more consistent.

Cleans away pre=plaque and grunge bruhes can't do.
I like that this little machine works very effectively at removing pre-plaque and food particles otherwise left by tooth brushes and interdental brushes. I had no idea so much detritus was in my mouth! It makes my mouth feel squeaky clean, as never before with the use of a sonic brush - and my dentl hygeine was excellent in the first place, according to my dentists (now a rarified species). The customer service was excellent - as below.I don't like how flimsy it is and the flossing handle splits and stains where the plastic hose goes into the rubber housing at the other end from the machine. On asking the vendor how to fix/replace it, the machine was immediatley replaced, although I was told-off for not sending the first one back fast enough when in truth I had never been sent a return label or instructions until that demand - it was just cupboarded. So the same thing has happened to this handle, but I have used a fine piece of transparent duct tape to stop the split worsening, although the discolouration is still increasing, from mould, horribly enough. So keepig moud at bay meqans a lengthy drying process after each use.In addition, i was happily using it on my excellent gums until one area started bleeding - turns out it was set too high.A great device but tricksy to use and maintain.

FANTASTIC BIT OF KIT...STOPS BLEEDING GUMS IN 3 DAYS !!!
Absolutely fantastic bit of kit! I originally ordered the handheld from amazon...but then saw this ! Amazon let me sent the small one back...so I changed it for this one . First time my gums poured with blood....within 3 days of using the normal head and the pickpocket on the pockets...all bleeding has stopped! Feels like I have had them professionally cleaned ever time! Watch some YouTube videos first so you know what you are doing. Only wish I had bought one sooner !!! Looks great on the side too....(p.s I have had gum disease and have some horizontal bone loss) ...great value for money...five stars

Its not a gimmick - really worth the investment.
I bought this, having struggled with conventional flossing for years.paid full price, and kept my faith that the which reviews would be found correct.I was not disappointed - once I got my head around the range of flossing tips, and pressure settings, the use of the device brought almost immediate improvement to my dental and gum health.I took youtube advice, and started off with the general purpose tip, and the lowest setting. The result was a pretty pleasant experience. The reservoir holds a couple of minutes of active use, and with a handy on/off control on the handset, the ability to control the flossing action is pretty easy, and intuitive. The fresh and squeaky clean sensation on my teeth is now easily achieved, and my only uncertainty is to whether or not to brush my teeth before of after the floss session. At the moment, I’m still experimenting with that.If you are a little intimidated by the size and general oddness of the machine - with a change of toothbrushing habit, I would just say to go for it. It works.I think I won’t take it on holiday with me, but I've got used to having it parked at the side of the sink.Update - Nov 2025 - It is still going strong and remains part of my daily routine, always at bedtime - and before brushing. I have convinced family and friends about its effectiveness, and I do find space for it in the carry-on bag.

Best appliance for oral hygiene
I gifted this Waterpik to my sister, and she recently informed me that her dentist praised her for the minimal plaque accumulation. Additionally, it has contributed to the alleviation of gum discomfort. I personally own a unit, and it has significantly improved my oral hygiene. This is the third unit I have purchased. My wife also uses one.

Like a sandblaster in your mouth! And that's a good thing. I'm on my 4th unit since Jan 2019
Original review: Only had this a few days (as a Deal of the Day) and I'm impressed by how much "stuff" it blasts out of the gaps in my ageing maw.The build quality feels cheap to me, very cheap. Creaking plastic, rattling motor and an unnecessarily stiff tube from main unit to flosser, the latter making things a bit more awkward to move around your mouth than necessary. The plastic feel and rattling doesn't inspire hope for its longevity, but if it last a year, I'll be both surprised and I'll update this brief review with positivity. In terms of usage, I find the default "middle" power setting to be best. I'd really avoid sandblasting on the highest setting! :-)So: 5 stars for doing the job it was intended to do; 3 stars for apparent build quality (although I may be maligning it unfairly).Edit: 5th May, 2020: It lasted more than a year, in fact it lasted 16 months. However it "died" last night. You plug it into the shaver socket and the two lights flicker like they are shorting out and that's it, it won't turn on. I stand by every point of my review above: it's great at removing stuff, but it is a cheap and nasty build quality.I've ordered another because I can't see myself without it now as part of my teeth cleaning regimen. Let's see how long the new one will last.Edit: 17th January, 2024. I'm on my fourth unit now as my third failed last night. So that's three units that have failed in almost exactly 5 years. I've just bought yet another -- my fifth -- as a spare while on offer. These units fail after roughly a year to 18 months, but when they work, they work very well and I wouldn't be without it.

Extremely reliable
I have had this product over 5 years. It's been 100% reliable. I had to replace the hose recently but the part was only £8 on Amazon.
