Thomas & Friends - Blue Mountain Mystery [DVD]

Haven't got the DVD yet but just seen this at the cinema, which was quiet throughout as the kids were all spellbound. And as an adult, it was sweet and quite watchable. There was not much diesel/steamie angst and a pleasant lack of irritating voices. Due to the toys, we already knew the answer to the mystery, but it was nicely done both for new fans and for the experts (lots of cameos for engines in the long shots and a lovely scene where the engines remember their most shameful episodes - from the original Awdry books, though now in cartoon). The music is gentler than some of the others, but I think this will probably be the favourite Thomas film (that or Calling All Engines) for both 3 year old and myself.

We bought this as my son is called Luke and the train Luke is in this one. Nice little film for any child who like Thomas.Parents might not like it as much as the originals, it's just not the same without Ringo.

I bought this for my nephew and i have to say what an amazing addition to the Thomas family!.The story is great really well thought out with lots happening, without giving too much away there are 4 new additions to Sodor,and it also explains how Victor came to to the island of Sodor. I thought this was alot better than Day of the Diesels which i thought had quite a menacing feel for younger audiences. This is a must for any Thomas fan. I would recommend this 100%. Buy this you will NOT be disappointed!

Brought my 3 year old boy to this in the cinema and he was glued to it for the whole time. The DVD is not available in the shops in Ireland, so I was delighted to find it on Amazon. Great value and and definitely a film to get for all Thomas fans.

My 3 and a half year old son loves Thomas and has many DVD's. I brought this as the price was good and the other reviews were good too.Since giving it my son, we have watched it most days and 2-3 times a day on the weekends!!!I really like the new animated format of the new DVD's and this is no exception.The story is good and it introduces you better to characters that you have only met briefly in other DVD's. It keeps my son entertained for hours. Highly recommended viewing.

this has got to be the best dvd i have ever bought for my son!!!he is 3 years old and train mad, he very rarely sits still for longer than 10mins, but every time i put this dvd on for him he sits through the whole dvd, which is about an hour long, the day he got it he watched it twice, so i can now do house work etc with out him pestering me!!!all in all it is a must buy for any thomas or train fan!!!!

My son is autistic and loves anything to do with Thomas the Tank Engine. He loves this new dvd especially the songs at the end. Since receiving this dvd he must have watched it at least 10 times. He couldn't wait to tell me all about it after watching it just once. I have seen it myself and must admit I enjoyed the story too. Recommend this dvd very much. We give it 10 out of 10.

My 3 year old son is a Thomas fanatic, and this, for him, was the icing on the cake. The story is nice and simple, but not trivial. It has all the old characters, plus a few new engines. It has good animation, and links to other stroies as well. The 'Bonus' material. for once is good as well. If you have a Thomas lover in the family, then this will keep them happy for some time
