A good quality ground feeder that should last a long time. Well made

We have a tiny garden with a large amount of friendly birds.Several are ground feeders such as the dunnocks, they don't like being on the higher feeders so I ordered this tray.So far I'm pleased with it. It's large enough for them to have a good feed, but small enough to place somewhere unobtrusive without tripping over it!They're enjoying what I've been putting out from the first day, so that's great.It looks nice, and feels sturdy enough to last several winters. It's not particularly heavy but it hasn't been moved by anything since I placed it by the chair. All good.Happy to recommend.Thanks for reading, I hope you find this review helpful.

Very solid and sturdy which impressed me rather. On the whole good quality, in particular the materials used seem sturdy and rugged.However, some of the mesh finishing could be improved at the top edges. Exposed sharp bits of wire where mesh has not been meshed and bonded properly will not lead to a good outcome for birds. And the mesh is not joined in one corner leaving a small hole/gap so I’ve decided to trim here and there with wire-strippers/cutters and file in two places. Then use the squeezable epoxy 2-part putty stuff to fill and bond.Not unusual to find defects with mesh trays generally these days, so I figure returning them is rather tedious, and I may as well just apply epoxy stick after cutting, filing etc. I wouldn’t avoid these just due to the occasional defect. I find it’s best to have a plan to hash it but that’s a personal choice. Mesh trays can develop defects after use anyhow, hence why I found a plan B to cover both newly bought trays, and ones that have degraded over time.

This ground feeder is exactly what I was looking for. It is just the right size, nice and sturdy, and you can fit a surprising amount in it. It looks as though it will be reasonably easy to clean too, which is always a bonus. Usually, the birds are very wary of anything new, but within a couple of hours, they were happily eating from this. The price is very competitive too. Happy to recommend.

Good value for money. They hold quite a bit of seed and are easy to clean and refill. They are quite heavy so will not be moved about by the wind. I'm not sure about how the will stand up to wet weather - rust could be a problem but i think it could be solved with a wire brush and a rust treatment. I get all kinds of birds using them - from pheasants, seagulls and woodpeckers to blue tits and siskins - there is room for all. They can easily be moved to different areas too. A good buy.

This Item arrived very quickly and well packaged. It is well made and certainly fit for purpose and as described by seller, however without actually referring to a measure tape when ordering it was smaller than I imagined but that's not the sellers fault. It has however given me an unusual problem as since using it I have attracted a big white cat to my feeding area that was never there before where I previously put the various bird feed straight on the ground. The cat seems to think its some kind of feeding bowl and I guess it believes I am putting the stuff out for its benefit. Not a good thing for the birds !!!!!!!!!!

These groundfeeders are excellent quality and robust. I have 3 in my garden now and the birds love feeding from them.....as do the squirrels!

Bit disappointed, uneven and wobbly ,Sharp edges not finished off very well, however does what I need it to .

El comedero me parece excelente, es metalico, robusto, resitente y de un tamaño adecuado para una terraza. Yo lo compre para alimentar gorriones y el unico inconveniente proviene de los propios gorriones, pues parece ser que a éstos les gusta más comer en el suelo de mi terraza que en el comedero. Hace unas dos semanas que lo tengo y hasta el momento no he podido observar que los gorriones -no otras aves- hayan hecho uso del mismo.

il vassoio per cibo gardman e' stato acquistato per una mangiatoia da terra per uccelli selvatici, utile perche' cosi' il cibo non tocca la pavimentazione, sono a griglia e di metallo, utile perche' quando piove non si formano laghetti!!

Très contente de ce produit ; il est solide et de bonne qualité. Facile à nettoyer aussi. Bref, je recommande.

Wir haben die Schale in eine Blumenkasten montiert, ca. 3 cm unterhalb des Randes mit Stäben befestigt. Perfekt für unseren Balkon, die Amseln, Meisen und Rotkehlchen sind den ganzen Tag da, es gibt keinen Schmutz rundherum und wenn ein Vogel sein Geschäftchen beim Fressen erledigt, geht es meistens in den Blumenkasten ;-)Auch die Körner, die rausgeschmissen werden, landen im Blumenkasten und nicht bei den Nachbarn am Balkon oder im Garten. Das ist sehr positiv.Das Futter wird gut belüftet durch den Drahtboden, so wird es nicht so schnell schimmlig. Natürlich muss man es trotzdem regelmäßig frisch machen.

Prodotto Made in Cina, ma comunque svolge egregiamente il suo compito. Prima mettevo i semi per terra. Ora con questo ne posso mettere di più senza che si sporchi tutto, se piove non si riempie d'acqua e basta lasciarlo un po' al sole che i semi tornano velocemente asciutti! Facile da lavare. Consiglio vivamente per risolvere tutti questi problemi, destinato agli uccelli che non si fidano delle mangiatoie appese.
